Actually I'm pretty sure that when you devote your own time to organising an event, you have every right to assert what is and is not acceptable at that event. And the very few people in this thread that have indicated they would not welcome miniatures like this at their events were, well, talking about that in the context of their events.

If you disagree with their rules for their event, you would be absolutely free to boycott it just as they are free to tell you that you aren't welcome if you bring something they feel is not appropriate. Or would you think they were just too "hard of thinking" to understand why you should be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their labour while ignoring the code of conduct they hold their players to?

And again you kick off your post with a totally unnecessary insult, like anyone who doesn't agree with you must just not understand what you're saying because they are so stupid. It's deeply disappointing to see behaviour like that here and completely undercuts any point you might be trying to make.

I have tried to do this nicely but can we de-escalate what could become a personal slanging match to just discussing the models. If there is a problem with the models that breaks a rule of the forum let me know otherwise please keep the dialogue sensible and polite.

If we are now talking about protecting the innocence of kids should we not also be censoring those miniatures that depict extreme violence? If so where do we finally draw the line on what is deemed "acceptable".

Redraw the round Mike.
I've done similar myself in the past to avoid unwanted or heated match ups. I kinda think that the TO should have an eye on who is who and what they are using. This sort of thing is often best dealt with at the data entry table and done right shouldn't even be noticed.

I've changed draws to avoid heated rows before now. Unless it's the top tables it doesn't matter.

What's better?
The bad game that results in ill feeling or a quick switch with the next table?
This should be one of the lesser discussed but widely known secrets of running a tourney.

Otherwise, I am just not here for anyone else's kids amusement. Seriously, I'd sooner not play them. I'm not alone in that. Both CACK and Warriors, the clubs I game at, are over 18's only and in both cases that was introduced by others.
So you see, I don't game with kids. If I must at a tourney I will but I have no issue with the draw being adjusted.

I'm not actually trolling here. But I understand the assumption. I strongly disagree with some of the ideas here. I won't change to support the attitude that women need men to speak for them and I won't suddenly love children.
So please, don't think for women and look after your own kids.

So unless anyone wants to bring their cat I think I've about covered my issues with elitist attitudes and who should be excluded from the game based on the models they own.

Can't stand cats, personally. Good point about the redraw, and interesting from Robsoma - cartoon violence (like BB) starts at Tom and Jerry level, whereas there is a lot less cartoon nudity until you get into graphic novels (which are age rated) and Manga-type stuff (ditto). Interesting discussion, but agree with VUK that personal insults (from both sides) aren't helpful.

No, exactly.
Why are they allowed to bring their cat when I can't bring my dog? Just because the cat is small and can take care of itself whilst my dog weighs more than 12 stone and stands on his hind legs to look people in the eye (looking down on most people when he does this), it's ridiculous that there should be this distinction.

It's not like I'm asking to bring a horse. I'd never do that. Horses don't like BloodBowl. Fact.
Although most horses do like beer and I had one who ate cigarettes (lit for preference, he was peculiar and quite hard work. He also only understood German, which made everything take about twice as long as it should have done, not ideal when he's eating a lit cig), so they should by rights enjoy the social aspect.

If the two people who wouldn't let this team into their tournament make that known beforehand, I might disagree, but that is their right, just as it would be JT-Y's right to run a tournament for over 18s only. I think JT-Y's restrictions are more unreasonable - a player can bring a different set of miniatures but a 16 year old bloodbowler can't get into JT-Y's event no matter what. (How the frell are we now talking about pets? So far off topic its not even funny...)

In terms of what people find offensive for whatever reason, I think we can all agree it's down to the individual and some are offended, some aren't. Everyone has had their say, lets agree to disagree and move on (or at least go back to discussing the specifics of this team, not generalisations).

@JT-Y: Please stop trying to dismiss or diminish my opinions because you think I'm offended on behalf of women or because I think women would find it offensive. You seem to be saying I cannot have a valid opinion of my own, one that you treat as equal to a woman's opinion, because I'm a man. You seem to be saying that because I am a man, I cannot find the sexual depiction of women offensive. You believe I am calling things sexist because I think women would find it sexist and offensive. Please allow me to have my own opinion and please respect my opinion as much as anyone else's. I tried to make this point before, but you seem not to have understood. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my previous explanation, hopefully this time I've been clearer. Thank you.

Someone needs to start a GW thread so everyone can vent their anger at a more suitable target rather than each other

Just ordered a couple to act as Slaaneshi cheerleaders for a an extra Pact team I'm never going to get around to painting :) As on pitch figures they do nothing for me for the same reasons as JT and others have mentioned in detail, but as Cheerleaders they kind of rock for the right team.

I actually like a couple of the models that haven't been posted here - just trying to work out if I can afford them this month or not.
When does Indiegogo take the money for a Fixed Funding campaign? At time of pledging or at the end date?
