It's not 32 pages, it's a mere 15. That's a breeze compared to the 104 page Nurgle thread.sann0638 wrote:Taking Khorne in my next tabletop season. Any consensus on best starting line up etc? Don't fancy the 32 pages...
I would recommend that you start with 4 Bloodletters and 3 Re-rolls. Whether you take a Bloodthirster or not is a matter of taste (and environment). The rest of the roster will be obvious after that.
The Bloodletters are the only reliable players in general play, having all 4 of them matters a lot if you want any reliability on the team. With a starting team I typically take my 3 blocks on the LoS with Bloodletters. It's easy for the defender to set up traps for rookie Pit Fighters on the LoS or in general play. I typically use a Bloodletter to run the ball on a starting team, I know I can blitz my way out of trouble without having to follow up due to Frenzy.
A rookie pit Fighter has a 4/27 chance (15%) of skulling himself when taking a 2-die block, much higher (say 30%) if facing a Frenzy trap. I cannot over-emphasise the importance of the Bloodletters to the starting team, nor the importance of 3 RR from the start.
Hope that helps.
