maximum number of skills
I saw that a lot of people thought that the Nurgle Beast had too many skills, so I started wondering whether there should be a maximum number of non-negative skills a player can have.
When a player has too many skills and still want to learn one, he has to drop one of the old ones. Physical traits and negative skills (wild animal etc) can not be dropped.

talking of the Nurgle beast:
just let him make his ageing rolls for his seven skills in retrospective and we'll see how many players are still afraid of good, ole Nurgle-grandpa.
But seriously: IMHO he has too many skills. Some will argue, that's why he costs so much, but we all know its better to have one player with 7 (strength/battle) skills than 7 players have one. It reminds me like having a big guy star player in your official team-Cockerel, with the exception that this beast can still gain new skills.

Like Indigo said 7 skills is the theoretical maximum, assuming your player is not killed or retired from aging before he gets this far.
Is this what you mean though, or do you mean maximum number of skills a position player starts with as a rookie (eg. block for most blitzers)?

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I think a toned down 140k version of the Beast will be what becomes official. There is mass agreement that the 160k Beast is a little over the top.Dave wrote:NO!!!! (can't seem to vote anymore)
The beast of nurgle has waaaay to many skills. Perhaps if he gets any more expensive he'll be all right bit as soon as he's got Block he'll be awesome.
No limitation on skills for any player IMHO
