I think there are too much positionals....

I think that making blitzers into blitzer-catchers(catch, +10K), removing catchers and adding a 0-4 Blocker positional (maybe 5 3 3 8 stand firm GS for 80K) would do the job... (as I dont see ST2 humans, neither do AG2 humans...)

then you would have a hitter team with some kind of catcher... not Chaos but not the human team nowadays.

Sounds a little like Brettonians in MBBL...

Well I think its ambitious to aim at getting an official change on the human team, but if you have hopes in that direction Jarvis pretty much forces you to look towards lrb. 7...

I think Jervis actually pretty much forces us to look towards infinity +1 for a changed Human team...

But hey, it passes time and it's nice to dream :)

I know I've posted that my agenda for LRB7 (if it ever happens) is restructuring humans & amazons.

Gah. I like my human team. Dont break it.

Also, wrestle/tackle as a starting skill combo? Are you crazy?

Great, I think it's a problem when Amazons are one of the bashiest teams. Also the global dodge mean they are really at a disadvantage vs dwarfs/CDs.

Regarding humans, I don't think anything drastic needs to be changed, but maybe:

- Linemen MA5 and GS access. Maybe this could be balanced by giving blitzers GA access.
- S3 catchers
- Leader on throwers.

I haven't thought how these could be costed, but these are small tweaks without rewriting the roster dramatically.

You don't think this:
Linemen MA5 and GS access
is drastic? :o

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

My own tuppence worth is that the Human roster is pretty much fine as it is.

Preserving 0-4 Blitzers is a must. If the roster was at all to be tweaked then Joemanji's suggestion of making those Blitzers 80k is the one I would most like to see.

All this 'Blocker, insert stats here, insert skills here' is fine in a House Ruled Team but please not in the LRB.

Personally, I like the idea of a STR 3 human blocker. It gives the team 1 of every type of player, but doesn't overpower it (based on LRB 5 results, that's a long way from happening.)

But the team should remain "basic" and should remain accessible to the beginner player, and probably should be playable with the basic rules (although with Goblins, Trolls, and Ogres, neither starting team fulfills this anymore.)

A 0-2 blocker with a 5 3 2 9 GS/AP does the trick, skilled or not, in my book.

Point taken. I meant in terms of red ink on the rulebook! No new positions, no sacking of old positions.

Instead if introducing a new 5 3 2 8/9 blocker, why not make it possible for linos to develop as good blockers?

They won't skill up fast, so that leaves very high TV humans with a few linos with block/guard, maybe MB. This would obviously need to be balanced with the other players.
AV8 on the LOS I doubt would survive long enough to get 4 skills.

I don't think it's such a crazy concept...

Yikes. I hope the human team doesn't get an overhaul. I think it's pretty cool.
And I like that the amazon are deadly. It fits the fluff for sure - just not chauvenist stereotypes.

If everybody is hot for a human team with blockers, I'd rather see a new team.
I did a human kislev team once. It's niche is a super defensive team, but without the ability to just pound the offense into the ground.

KISLEV TEAM
0-16 60k Linemen 5338 Standfirm G
0-4 100k Blocker 5339 Standfirm Block Tackle GS
0-2 70k Kicker 6338 Kick HMP GA
0-2 70k Wing 6338 Catch Passblock GA
0-1 "Big" Guy: Trained bear (secret weapon, very stupid - ST4)

Cheers
Martin
