And I was *trying* to get my team rating over 300.... Looks like I failed

Actually over the years I have been very good (?) keeping the rating down...
So I don't know how much of a problem it will be.

I think Pitch Invasion should be d3 players. I'd rather wins/losses be more based on coaching skills than one kickoff result.Grumbledook wrote:nothing wrong with the weather and kick off table if you ask me
DW convinced me to think the opposite on this one though - forcing a weather change after a KOff table roll unfairly disadvantages a team that has just conceded a TD. For the sake of fairness if nothing else I now agree that there should be a chance of getting a KOff result that has no impact on the game.Longshot wrote:exept: nice weather...weather change!...nice weather....
Did you invest in FF? If not then the KO table will punish you in the long run.Melifaxis wrote:I think Pitch Invasion should be d3 players. I'd rather wins/losses be more based on coaching skills than one kickoff result.
Thadrin I couldn't agree more FOR TOURNAMENTS. Its a total waste of time and money if that sort of thing happens in a tournie...Thadrin wrote:true enough, but what about this scenario:
two even teams - one slow and punchy...say Orcs or Dwarfs. One Fast.
Even FFs. The slow team held out on defence all first half. They then ground out a touchdown against a dogged defence, taking seven turns.
Their opponent has two turns to score an equiliser.
Kick off-PI-snake eyes for the defender-six guys gone, with the star whatever killed-fast guys don't even need to break a sweat scoring.
Entirely feasible, and nothing to do with skill. This secnario came to mind as I play slow and hard teams, but feel free to alter it to fast team have five players left against a gang of MB/Piling on orcs who have eight turns to beat the crap out of them.
Make it D3 and its nasty but not as game changing.
Here's the vote count on this poll:GalakStarscraper wrote: Christer .... could you do me one favor .... run one more Poll on #8 with the question phrased like this:
In an effort to slow team rating growth over TR 200 and especially over TR 250, would you support the following rule in conjuction with the current LRB 2.0 winnings table:
"If you roll a negative result then the costs of running a team have spiralled out of profit – you must pay the amount rolled out of your treasury. If a team cannot pay then they must lose a re-roll. If they have no re-rolls they lose a player (they can’t afford his wages anymore). The player they lose is the coach’s choice."
Not very pleasant to be on the end of, but isn't one of the nice things about BB the randomness? With nuffle on your side anyone can win.Thadrin wrote:true enough, but what about this scenario:
