If we're going onto Players then my FUMBBL chaos Halfling team has Minos called "Big Mac Griffripper" (the fig I have for Tabletop is the HEresy mino lord with casualty) and "Whoppa Luthorstmper". I named those two right after the BB.

My CD team has Bull Centaurs called Big Red and Ferdinand (that gag you'll only get if you've seen a paticular disney cartoon - swedes should know the one I mean).

I'm quite fond of my Fumbbl Ogre team - Turnogres - who include Fumpem Ard, Bootta Daballz and so on...Wodell is full of stupid names like that too.

My friends orc team, Da Spitzburg Stealeaz, has a few players named after real Steelers, but my favorate is his thrower: Terror Badjaw.

I love my lizardsmen team name: Lizards of the Coast

Since I played Magic for 8 years and wouldn't discovered BB without it it is a nice tribute to that game...

I played with a dwarven team "The Nonees" for a while.

The dwarven figures boots go all the way up to the waist so I just figured they have ...

My favourite team concept is The Terrifying Anarchists of Naggaroth. The team name is okay, but I had a lot of fun bloodbowlizing the names of famous anarchists.

My favourite team name is The Brionne Bourgeois Parasites. An appropriately named vampire team.

For sillyness, there's Gurgle's Blotters. Another suitably bloodbowlized team of famous painters.

For complete and utter sillyness there are the Almost Amazingly Awesome Alliterators Anonymous. A halfling team that makes abundant almost amazingly awesome attempts.

As you can see, I spend too much time thinking of concepts for my teams.

I was starting a league and two coaches hadn't turned in team names so I made up temporary names to incourage their delivery of real names for their teams...

The Tampax Wings
and
The Amway Allstars

Of course, both coaches decided to stick with those names, though the Brettonian coach changed it to the Honorable Tampax Wings...

Have to mention mine.

Always orcs, always the same "The Young Ones"
Never named one Vivian but I desperately want to paint "very metal" on one of their backs

Also deserving is a female coach's amazon team "GLOBB"

Bonus points if you get both the references

Thanks,

Exactly how many Steelers pun teams are there out there?
I played against one at the BB, I've heard of a good few others - including my favourite, the PItzburgh Squeekers (or something like that) from the TBBF. Them, the Browns, the Redskins and the Bucs are desperately overpunned.

Hypocritically, I just renamed my 2nd ed. dwarfs as the Pitsberg Steelheads. Was going to do the whole Steeler pun names thing, and might still, but I rather like the names I have. Depends if I can come up with better. They were never meant to be Steelers colours...its a coincidence that my favourite football team have yellow and black as their colours (the Dwarfs are nicknamed "the Golden boys" in tribte to the mighty Hornets...it seemed appropriate), and those colours happen to be the colours of two of my former American Football teams.

Mmmmz... My w.i.p. Gobbos are called the Wimbledorks (since they're running around on K*Swiss / S*Kwiks shoes and waving tennis rackets as soon as I can find suitable tiny rackets) and my deceased Halflings were called the Fudgebearers (fudge is a pretty colour to paint... :D )
And then you have Chotec's Sport Frogs which I'm working on now.

My old Undead team DEATH BY CHOCOLATE, all the players were named after chocolate bars. Oh, how I miss my Turkish Delight :D

And, my wood elfs DELETE AS APPROPRIATE, which were over the course of the season they played in.

My current Nurgle Rotters league team are called MURDEROUS APPEARANCE and are all named after diseases.
