PBEMBBL restarts in about a week

Be it FUMBBL, PBeM, the Cyanide Computer Game, VASSAL or whatever - talk about online play here.

This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

Cheaters :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

On to more pleasent things, I've finished my 1st games with my 2 stunty teams (and remember, I've never coached stuntys before).

My gobbos went down 2-0 to CD's, but no cas :o
My 'Flings drew 2-2 with a HE team, took 2 cas (BH, -1Ag), but with the money I had in reserve, let alone gate, I could afford for this guy to retire to the sidelines and be replaced.

Whhhheeeeeeeeeeee!

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Cheaters are a complete mockery of the paragon of an ideal Blood Bowl coach.

That suffers a bit in translation... It's a variation of what I sometimes said to my less succesfull privates during my conscript year (You're a mockery of the paragon of an ideal soldier, private!).

Anyways, maybe the major internet BB leagues should start to keep a list of everyone who's ever been found cheating, including whatever information that you have of them. Given the fact that a new email account and an identity is easy to obtain it's not waterproof or anything, but would be some sort of a threat. Or at least act as a message that cheating is not tolerated.
IP addresses could also be banned - for many people that could be a bit harder to circumvent. Oh, but that only applies to JavaBowl and the like...

Actually Mestari ... haven't really had this problem.

Once cheaters realize that the software can catch them, they either reform or never play again.

Haven't had an issue yet of cheaters hopping leagues so far.

Nice to hear that. Hopefully the hardcore cheaters are more keen to play Starcraft and the like than BB.
