I'm struggling to understand exactly how to build Merc/Freebooter so hopefully I don't cheat by mistake. If I take any ofc!

So when you say "freebooters may not be given additional skills", can you clarify please? And are you allowed to reduce the cost of a freebooter by reducing stats?

Please build your Freebooters as the shown in the rules in Deathzone... what you can't do is build your freebooter as per the rules then give them a 'free' skill from the additional skills you may add and as per OP using a Freebooter will 'cost' you one of your 'free' skills.

As we're all getting to grips with new edition and DZ, etc I'm sure there will be questions.

Yeah, I'm heavily leaning towards having people submitting any Freebooter calcs before the day. Also one of the updates on OP was specifically for 15 minutes of roster checking in timetable

Slightly worried about opening Pandora's Box but I'm really interested to see what being allowed to take Freebooters brings to light

For those looking to take Freebooters think it would be useful to make sure there are no misunderstandings so more than happy to take a look before the day at any Freebooters you want to include (please show your working ) Send them by PM here or e-mail me David.J.Muirhead@gmail.com and I'll double check.

One thing I've not seen addressed elsewhere... Some players have a 'stat' of "-" for passing... but according to main rules passing stats can't be reduced below '6+'. We'll stick with those rules i.e. you may not reduce the PA on any freebooters below '6+'.
