Re: Tash Bash (Lancaster) 27&28th November 2021
Some good news. 2 venues being looked at.
Toll House Inn - They have a small room we can use for free, problem is it will only fit about 12(ish) people.
Kanteena - A mate is helping with this 1. Apparently 1 of the gaming clubs used it and 1 of the staff is a fan. They have a room that can fit about 26 I'm told. Likelihood is that this venue is gonna be at a charge, but if not to pricey I'd be happy to use.
Both have bars and serve good food. Toll House is also a hotel so has rooms and is open for breakfast. Will keep you all informed on progress.

Sadly the Toll House has now gone back on itself and said we can't have the room. This means that if I can't get a venue by the end of the month the tournament will have to be cancelled.

Re: Tash Bash (Lancaster) 27&28th November 2021
OK, good news!
First off... My new filter coffee wash lush and I'm full of caffeine.

Second, 2 venues found! Robert Gillows pub in Lancaster has said we can have their upstairs room. They used to have 1 of the Lancaster Gaming clubs in the room so the guy was very interested in a Bloodbowl tournament. Gonna go on Wednesday to see how many people we can get. Looking at the pic online there were 7 tables, so 14. He also didn't mention anything about room cost.
2nd venue is a scout hut in Halton. Bit further out, but bigger venue. Will need to pay a little bit for heating but waiting to see if we can use the space and what it will cost over all.
Also just realised that I can't find the 'interested' list I posted on here and TFF. I know I have it somewhere so will route it out and add it to the event info.

Re: Tash Bash (Lancaster) 27&28th November 2021
***UPDATE***
I've viewed both venues and looked into stuff and the event is going to be at the Halton 1st Scout hut.
The big factor for this is that we can comfortably get 24 people in the venue, and possibly a few more. It's only about 7 minutes drive from Lancaster city centre and so even if you get a taxi it's not gonna be to expensive, even more so of people share a taxi.
I'm also sure that people will be happy to offer lifts... unless you beat them to a pulp on the pitch.
The only small issue is food. There is a chipy and shop a few minutes drive from the venue but its only open on the Saturday. I was thinking that to get round this we could get a pizza delivery on 1 or both days.
There still 1 or 2 thing need sorting out but hopefully this won't take to long then I will open payment. I've also added the interested list to the main post.

Another great bit of news. After sending some emails out we have had 4 gaming retailers offer sponsorship and prizes for Tashbash.
The Outpost have offered a £5 voucher for each entrant in the tournament. An amazing free gift no matter how badly you get beaten over the weekend. Hahaha

Tabletop Republic have offered some Bloodbowl goodies to give away as prizes.

Warhub have offered some painting products from Colour Forge to give away.

Element Games (Just waiting for them to get back to us)

We now have the legend known as Geoff Porritt (Podfrey) added to the mix. People better bring their 'A game'.
