They re-did the rules a year or so ago.Steam Ball wrote:Is that new? The card I remember said one Kick per turn, but nothing about losing other actions.Mush wrote:Looking over the Grak rules, sacrificing a blitz to kick

Rules preview is up:

So gnoblars are "disposable" meaning they no longer count towards your teams TV. That's a decent boost. Means you can have a bench of 16 of them and not worry about it. I wonder if it applies to skilled gnoblars? Might make them worth keeping.
So a starting team of 5 ogres, 1 runt punter and 8 gnoblars costs 1000k (assuming prices have stayed the same). But its TV is 840.
Otherwise it sounds like the teams has 5 ogres and one runt punter (ogre with kick team mate instead of throw team mate).

Re: Next team?
I am surprised to see Bob Bifford being such a beast. Wasn’t Morg supposed to be the Best Ogre (if not overall player)? None of the other Big Guys has Block, which was Morg’th thing. Now we got a new ogre with same strength, block and break tackle, making him much better. JT-Y, Will Morg’s background be ret-conned? Was Bob a big thing in previous editions? Don’t remember much fuzz about him, but maybe I missed it.
I know it’s golden era and, thus, optional. Just thinking from a fluff perspective.

Bob has always been arguably the greatest of all time, he even battered Morg when Morg was a rookie.

He was in the 2ed Star Player book as an announcer. I can't remember if he was mentioned in 1ed, but that was a looooong time ago..sann0638 wrote:Never heard of him before Cyanide.MacHurto wrote:Was Bob a big thing in previous editions? Don’t remember much fuzz about him, but maybe I missed it.

Good knowledge, I stand corrected! My SP book was lost about a dozen house moves ago, I thinkBillyDee wrote:He was in the 2ed Star Player book as an announcer. Re: Next team?
When they first appeared, Jim and Bob were two identical looking humans drawn by Pete, poking fun at the trend for real world sports commentators to all look very similar. In third ed, Bob became an Ogre ex-player, Jim became a vampire caricature of Jervis, as portrayed in iconic style by Wayne England. The background for both has been expanded a lot since then by various writers, to the point that I couldn't say when the story of Bob beating up rookie Morg first appeared, but Bob has long been established as one of the all time greats.

Re: Next team?
I know that piece of background only from the Cyanide game. There is a commentary snippet where Jim asks Bob who would win in a fight between Bob and Morg. Bob answers this by mentioning he`s not allowed to tell, but that this matter had already been settled. He says it in a way that implies he won that...little competition.
In the story mode you can actually play with Bob too, and that during a match where Morg is pitted against you. Bob has the same skills and stats in that game.
Sigh...I wish Cyanide would've done more campaign stuff...the story was entertaining. Real BB.

Re: Next team?
Ok, thanks. I see in the card that he is pre-Morg (that started around the 70s). Will the Blood Bowl starting at 2461 be ret-conned? His card says BB winner 2447,2453. Also, did the Creeveland Crescents won the Chaos cup in 2445 already or will that be changed? Don’t have my books with me and Lore of Nuffle shows it as blank.JT wrote: background for both has been expanded a lot since then by various writers, to the point that I couldn't say when the story of Bob beating up rookie Morg first appeared, but Bob has long been established as one of the all time greats.

Re: Next team?
There was always a 'Blood Bowl', but it was relaunched under a new format in 2461. Prior to that it was still the name given to the NAF annual championship.
Beyond that, you're asking me about a book that isn't actually released yet, so you'll have to forgive me not answering.

I'm happy they don't translate. Makes erratas come out quicker (as they don't have to translate those too). The last thing I would want is any game rules translated into my native language.zebulon wrote:I am sad that the almanac probably follow the path of the spike and would be no longer translated..
