Re: Gert Bowl 9 @ Bristol City Open 6th & 7th July 2019
Been asked what 'Spike' Magazines are in use for this tournament - I-III are all fine. Those are Chaos, Nurgle and Dark Elf.
IV and V Spikes - Undead and Halfling ARE NOT currently included in the sanctioned rules for Gert. If this poses a problem for anyone let me know.
Edit: Looks like I gave a 1st June cutoff - so Spike 4 is in but Undead still can't have stars but may impact Khemri.

Hi Loki,
Very sorry but won't be able to make this one now. Had hoped that I'd be given the horrible shift of work for the 1st/2nd of July but instead got it on the 8th/9th so will not be able to do a weekend of Blood Bowl followed by that hell.
All the best with the event and I will endeavour to be there next year!

Random logistical question.
If our ticket price includes access to the convention. Do we just walk in, or will we need a ticket or something to show at the door?
Or, is the convention free and you're just trying to butter us up with free access to something that is already free...

I'm not sure how the entry to the convention (and therefore the tournament) works, but a weekend ticket to just attend the convention and not play one of the tournaments being held there is £10. One assumes there'll be some sort of list on the door?Verbal_HM wrote:Random logistical question.

TBH I still need to confirm with the overall organizer what the actual situation on the day will be. I will confirm before the day whether it's a list on the door or you will receive some form of e-ticket prior to the day.Verbal_HM wrote:Random logistical question.

Re: Gert Bowl 9 @ Bristol City Open 6th & 7th July 2019
With due regard to the worlds resources and a sensible sustainability agenda I have deliberately not asked for paper copies to be brought for this event. Personally I would probably always turn up with a paper copy but that is personal and I also think its inappropriate for the tournament to mandate paper being needed
BUT
There does still need to be a level of accountability for rosters so if you do not intend on bringing a paper copy of your roster can you please e-mail/PM me an e-copy here or to DavidJMuirhead@gmail.com by Saturday 29th June.
I won't be printing the e-copies so please do have something to let your opponent see your full roster before a game.
Cheers,
Dave

Didn't think stars could be taken for Tier one teams? If I've read that wrong, then I might reconsider my choice of roster!canteloup wrote:Here’s my team list for Gert bowl 9. Looking forward to it.

Re: Gert Bowl 9 @ Bristol City Open 6th & 7th July 2019
Bit of tiding up required here... OK, as it was in original message - Spike 1-4 stars can be used. So no additional Halfling fun for this Gert.
Tier 1 have been excluded from having stars.
