The unsettled grudges between the colleges have though rumbled on and student Wizards of the Colleges have secretly been attempting to get their own slice of the fame and fortune for their college and themselves.
Without the blessing of their superiors or access to the legendary Dungeonbowl arenas, adolescent sorcerers have found obscure and questionable locations to settle scores, gambling the reputation of their respective Colleges in unsanctioned versions of the traditional game, gathering teams from every corner of the sport to battle it out for riches and pride.
Thanks to the discovery of the dark webs power and assistance from some discruntled cablevision employees, the students have been able to broadcast secret, private games live on personal magical tablets throughout the realm, helping to increase shady revenue to entice the best and the brightest teams into this battle royale.
Coaches bored with the standard Blood Bowl Tournaments and those seeking adventure, find that this secret tournament holds prizes and riches not found anywhere else. In order to get these prizes teams must not only brave their opponents, but also the nearly constant stream of magic flying from the student wizard supporters, who utilise their developing talents for college pride...and to also keep the ratings up because let's face it the unprecedented level of magical chaos and entertainment is what keeps the viewers (and shady cash) flooding in!
