Size of miniature? Necromantic, Norse and Nurgle....
Size of miniature question related to Necromantic, Norse and Nurgle teams.
Are Flesh Golems, Werewolves, and Ulfwerener all one square sized miniatures or are they Big Guys that take up four squares?
And I assumed the Beast of Nurgle is a Big Guy that takes up four squares. Is that correct?
Thanks!

Big guys no longer take up four squares. All players, big or tiny, take up only one square.

Uhhhhh... okay, doesn't really answer my question, which is about the size of the miniature.
An Ogre miniature, such as Morg'N'Thorg, takes up four squares on the game board (no matter what rules you are using), just because that's how big the miniature is.... So, are Flesh Golems, Werewolves, and Ulfwerener all one square sized miniatures or are they larger four square sized miniatures? And where does the Beast of Nurgle fit in that?
Thanks.

Flesh Golems, Werewolves, and Ulfwerener are all one square size as you described it. Beast of Nurgle is a big guy like Morg n Thorg

I'm a British Freebooter, will play for any team including Undead (I have my own Apothecary). Good rates.

Just for info, you can usually get a big guy (Morg, Troll, etc.) on a 40mm round base which means they don't actually take up anywhere near as much room physically on the pitch as they used to on the big square bases when they took up 4 squares in the game rules.crowofpyke wrote:Uhhhhh... okay, doesn't really answer my question, which is about the size of the miniature.

I have tended towards basing the larger players (Mummy's, Flesh Golems etc.) on larger bases as well if they are bigger models (like the Greebo Golems) as it looks better.

You should be able to get Big Guy figures on 32mm or 30mm bases, with some older ones on 25mm bases. If they only fit on 40mm they're either badly designed or not designed for BB.

Who said only? The proportion and balance is better on a 40mm in my opinion. Yes, you can get some on 32mm (and possibly 30mm).Darkson wrote:You should be able to get Big Guy figures on 32mm or 30mm bases, with some older ones on 25mm bases. You're an insufferable person. Your opinion is not the only valid/right one.

But this is a forum, a place where people are supposed to express their opinions in order tofromherashes wrote:Your opinion is not the only valid/right one.
- get different opinions on a subject and
- get a discussion going where pros and cons of opinions are being laid out.
That is what a forum is about.
Maybe people not seeing what a forum is for are also insufferable?

You've missed my point, I think all 3 sizes are viable, I'm not telling someone what base size they should be using and deriding another persons choice of base size.Regash wrote:But this is a forum, a place where people are supposed to express their opinions in order tofromherashes wrote:Your opinion is not the only valid/right one. Some people use this to make up their mind.

Debate, fine. Dismissive posts, pointless.

His opinion is not the problem, it's the way he puts it across. That's why I used the word dismissive as it describes the way he posts rather than the content.Regash wrote:Maybe just his opinion?fromherashes wrote:Dismissive posts
