I liked it, but too difficult for me as I don't know stats without looking.....so wrote down the stats and tried again and still only got 2 rows after getting flustered by the time running out lol.

How do you play? I can link lots of thing connected for various reasons that don't count.. is it stat based?

If you let the time end, it seems to let you guess why they are grouped like that. But yes, for that panel it's about stat values (higher than, exact, lower than) or star players of a given team.

In Only Connect, you get a point for each set of connections you find, plus then additional points for getting the connections (so you can score points for the connections, once they've been revealed to you).

There are four groups of four. Each group has something in common but usually you'll find that 5 or more things fit each category. The game works by picking the groups. You can do the first two groups by trial and error but once you get them you only get 3 wrong guesses to sort out the last two groups (because it would be too easy to just try all the permutations). You also get points for naming the connections, even if you didn't pick the group correctly.

I'll maybe put up another one later today that's a bit easier.

It was my way to figure how the game worked, as it seems to assume you know the TV one, it doesn't give you full instructions. At the end I figured you first make groups of 4 to get points, then guess the exact theme of the groups for more points (at least in this web version).

And later I just followed "bread crumbs" to reach: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/article ... tq14k/quiz to get the full instructions (I said themes, TV says connections, no idea if you can say the theme and the 4 all in one go there).
