Question. I find this:

The classic formula is still very much in evidence, but the somewhat frustrating rule which ended your turn early if one of your players fumbled or missed a tackle has been removed.

From here: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/10/b ... en-2016/3/

Any corroboration?

I don't know the site, so apologies if my assumption is wrong, but that wording sounds to me like they have no clue of what Blood Bowl ever entailed past the basic concept.

I would think during the demonstration/tutorial match/whatever they had, they simply decided to skip turnovers in order to actually show all aspects of the game, rather than roll a 1 first move and that's it, no more learning as your turn's over.

As soon as it said, 1-4 players, I stopped reading it.

Maybe they were confused by IP becoming optional.

The turnover rule is quite frankly so fundamental to the game, that if it was removed a heck of a lot would have to change.
Imagine if you could Dodge back all your elfs every turn, with no fear of a turnover....

Looks to me like a bit of confusion after hearing something indirectly.

Well that was my thinking, but I needed to hear from sane people.

There's more and more of it about as the release draws near and people who are used to being the ones with the rumours scramble to get the rumours out.
Just remember that the guys behind this new edition came to us first with actual news and we (the BB community) know the details whilst others don't.

Don't give in to panic!

There's new www.bloodbowl.com website for the new edition. When looking at the Drills section (probably there to make it easy for new players to learn the game) it states that Human Catcher needs 4+ to succeed in Dodge. Is it only for this Drill or would this be a sign of a coming rules change...

Just simple rules for people who have not played before. Quick start rules like that are always a bit wrong on purpose.

Your thought or a fact? The drill also states -1 for opposing Tackle zones. In another drill catching is 3+.

Has someone fully read the new rulebook?

A fact that Andy Hoare has confirmed on Facebook.

Quick start rules are always a bit wrong on purpose? Well only if you mean the fact that they aren't including all the detailed rules. Quick start ussually means you don't need to worry about points values as you are given a set team/army. Then special rules like magic/special play or pre and post-game sequences are missed out. They are not deliberately made so the rolls required are wrong. Well at least not usually...

In this case dodging into 2 tackle zones and requiring a roll of a 6 is wrong (and 4+ for no tackle zones on the first dodge), unless they have adjusted the rule. Could even be a mistake! You could argue the +1 modifier for dodging is a detailed rule.
