Bombs don't scatter nor fumble away. There should be a lesson in there.

Bombs most certainly can scatter! What they don't do is bounce.sirsebstar wrote:Bombs don't scatter nor fumble away. There should be a lesson in there.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

No I didn't!!
I said if you want to win a stunty cup "take halflings" this is because all your opponents take pity on you and ease off slightly!!
In a league environment Goblins will IMHO dominate halflings.
... And how can a stunty team with 5 St5 players even be considered stunty??

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Glowworm obviously didn't go to his 'advanced mathematics' i.e. getting his other hand out his pocket

That's goblin counting. Once they've used up a hand I think it just goes to "LOTZ".Darkson wrote:Only 5?glowworm wrote:... And how can a stunty team with 5 St5 players even be considered stunty??

Despite it being a stab in my little Goblin heart, I have to agree...glowworm wrote:I said if you want to win a stunty cup "take halflings" [...]
Although it depends for a fair amount on the ruleset of a tournament, with starplayers and/or inducements allowed Deeproot, a chef and Puggy will improve a Halfling team more then any star the Goblins have at their disposal. (Drag Kwèk into this discussion, his Halfling playing style has frustrated me on more then one occassion for claiming a Stunty Cup). When it comes to skill sets, Goblins can gain the upper hand in the discussion, as the variety of secret weapon players can benefit far more from this then what you can give two Trees and many Halflings.
Then again, it always comes down to the coach guiding the team, but yeah, Halflings (theoretically) are the better choice when going for the Stunty Cup.

Bombs do both. They just don't bounce.sirsebstar wrote:Bombs don't scatter nor fumble away. There should be a lesson in there.
But what was the lesson?

Re: Halflings are better than Goblins
Away being the operative word.
"If the bomb is fumbled it explodes in the bomb thrower’s square." so it does not fumble away, it fumbles on the spot.
Bombs inaccuratly thrown do scatter, perhaps i should have used bounce instead. appologies.
example of lesson? Don't Blow yourself up.. its a worthy lesson....
on topic, i wonder if a bracket can be made in which teams are expected to perform better. as in
flings vs gobbo's, with a few chosen skills gobo;s do well, with some inducements flings might outperform.
personally, although a chainsaw is its owns liability, flings are hit even harder then gobo's, in the main. Bombs (can) ruin everybody's day, but tree's have the hardest time catching it, although strong arm helps with throwing it away. Pogo give speed to a lineup that is already faster than flings. I'd be tempted to try it out in some games and see who can do what, but for the moment i favor the deeper roster of the gobo's.
