Check the two URLs - the top one is a lot longer than the second viewable one, and doesn't end in .jpg. Perhaps it didn't paste correctly?

re google photos - It turns out google removed the ability to embed images from their site. So they will not work with BBcode (which this forum software uses). The image everyone can see was posted from a google event, not google photos, and allows a direct link to .jpg.
There is much rage over the internet about google removing this function without even announcing it.
Now I know what the problem is I can work around it :)
