Do you think the revised Nurgle's Rotters are balanced?

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

Do you think the revised Nurgle's Rotters are balanced? (from BB Annual 2003)

0-12 Chaos Beastmen 60K 6/3/3/8 Horns, GEN, STR, PHY
0-4 Rotters 110K 4/4/2/9 Foul Appearance, Regenration GEN, STR, PHY
0-1 Nurgle Beast 110K 4/6/1/9 Mighty Blow, Foul Appearance, Regeneration, Really Stupid, Big Guy, GEN, STR, PHY. If it kills a human sized opponent add a free rookie Rotter to your team

RR 70K, No Apothecary

It seems ok now. Any experiences?

The Beast is still ridiculously strong but except that it seems balanced. I don't have any experience with it, though.

I am true to my own master Slaanesh, I prefer his beauty.

Yes the beast is a good one but to take advantage of his Rotter generating ability you have to take it when creating the team, which will leave not much more money for FF, RR or Rotters.

The beast is strong but you have to see it in conjunction with the whole team. With AG3 gone from the CW your only ball handlers are the Beastmen without an Apothecary to look after. Also, no access to Passing and Agility skills. This team is slower and more cumbersome than the normal chaos-team.

I mostly meant the Str 6 and also the large amount of skills.

I think if you make him STR5 and/or lose one more skill he becomes something in the quality of an Ogre/Troll, but then no one would take a chaos Team with MA4 and AG2 Chaos Warriors, when you can take MA6 AG3 CWs for 10K less and with access to an Ogre. Regeneration helps you surviving a little better, but AG makes you win matches.

Yeah, that's true, I'm just affraid of the "games-workshop" syndrom in which every newer team/army has to be stronger than all previous ones, with even stronger big guys etc.
I'm also very much against anything having a Str higher than 5. The treeman has 6 but pays for it with Mv2 and Ag1. The beast also has a (considerable) MV of 4!

The Beast is the bashiest of the big guys. I do not know if it's also the "best" in game terms. Actually, I'm not sure if this team is stronger than the normal chaos team or any other teams. That's why I posted the topic. :)

It's still way over the top. Why play normal chaos when you can have this?

Zombie:

I would take normal chaos over this because Chaos Warriors make great ball carriers.

Besides, elves will score all day against this team. (Untested opinion)

Will need playtesting but this is a vast improvement on the original list. It has its own flavour and more differences.

Think the team could struggle to be competitive though, but would need to play with/against to judge.

That Beast is wrong, the one in the Annual is:

4 6 1 9 Foul Appearance, Mighty Blow, Regen, Really Stupid, Big Guy 110K

I am playing rotters in my league now. 3 games in I'm finding that the reduced movement and agility of the Rotters is making a big difference. I used to rely on Warriors more to move the ball, now I can't.

Foul Appearance is making a bit of a difference, but I am finding that the fast dodgy teams are just playing speedy running games instead of passing a lot.

I've played against them twice, neither time did the team have the Big Guy. From what I have seen so far, not impressive at all. I've walloped them twice with my humans:

Human URL:
http://www.oldboysleague.com/bbadmin/team3.php?team=72

Rotter URL:
http://www.oldboysleague.com/bbadmin/team3.php?team=76

His biggest problem all season, from what I have seen, is the lack of an apothecary. 6 dead in 9 games.

Oops, i didn't notice the AG2. That indeed makes a big difference.

The team gets a slightly stronger, slightly uglier big guy, in return for slower, less agile chaos warriors, and beastmen who are one kill away from death, and there is nothing you can do about it! I'm playing the team right now mostly as above, but for some reason, my commish thinks that the beast is going to be some star player in the future, so that is detering me from even buying the Beast. As is, i am definately experiencing a losing season right now... I so wish i was fielding a normal chaos team instead.
