Just wondering what paints you guys are using as 'turquoise'? I'm currently thinking Coat d'arms Aqua Marine, as I usually use their paints, but as this is a one off might look elsewhere.
Might even buy a mini this weekend...

I'll use a mixture of the game colour equivalents of enchanted blue and scorpion green, more blue for the recesses.

Mixed my own - I mixed up a base, I think I used a blue wash, then I highlighted with a home-brew turquoise...? Can't quite remember to be honest!

For you other guys who wanting to know which paint , use. As long as it's turquoise it's all good, there are some examples there in the photo using different techniques, all good

Mmmm I think I need remedial photography skills...

Once we get some more players ill get someone who knows what there doing to take a group photo.

So good to hear some more people plucking away and making progress. I hope everyone who's pledged is really getting stuck in now. We are well past the half way point.

A few more people have asked for my address so hopefully that's because they want to send a miniature my way and not because there planing on visiting me. I hate visitors, especially humans. With their ugly feet and... hair, err yuk! Its disgusting!

My guy is coming along. Just needs his arm and head attaching, a few more details like some chunky threads on the ball, and then painting will begin.

I’ve finished Ithaca, had a 20 odd year old pot of GW’s Hawk Turquoise and it was still in great condition. Gotta love those old paint pots, both for volume and keeping the paint fresh. It pretty much full as turquoise is a colour I rarely use, but it does work well with the bone and gold so will have to give it more consideration in the future.

Decided to give NMM gold another try and reasonably pleased with the results, though it is hard going on very small or narrow items such as the rivets/beads or rims of the leg guards. NMM does look great on gold if done well, so it was nice to get a bit of practice in and hopefully I can get better at it.

Just need to apply some varnish and she’ll be ready to post.

That's what I thought too! I then had to discover that my varnishing spray is broken and I wasn't able to aquire a new one since. So, sorry for the delay, Frogboy! I will get it done at the weekend and post it next week.
