For me, stand out points are:
""The rate at which new supplements is released depends upon sales""
I totally understand that. GW is a business so that's expected. So it's for the community to get behind the product, as supporting it with their money, and events will only improve the game overall. If it makes money for GW, then more products will be brought out for it.
""The setting remains the same.""
Yaaaaayyy!
""It’s a grim, darkly humorous pastiche of the Warhammer setting and that isn’t changing.""
Double Yaaayyyy!
""More importantly it is being expanded upon by a team of people who have known and loved the Warhammer World for many years. As an example Eldril Sidewinder has had his original background restored, he is a Sea Elf Wardancer turned to football, and his Hypnotic Gaze is a racial ability to mesmerize others that Wood and Sea Elf Wardancers possessed in WFB 3rd edition.""
I'm running out of Yaaayyyys!

Has there been any clarification on which teams are in the core rules (not models, I mean team listings)?
I have heard different rumors about 7 new teams or is that in reference to new models for 7 existing teams?

that last point in Magi's post is pretty awesome. I for one would be disappointed to lose race specific positions.
EG I dont want a vanilla elf team, I want all 4 flavours eventually.

well, this image of a slide that talks about "DeathZone - Season 1" containing league rules and seven new teams shows a Skaven player. hardly conclusive evidence, but i would expect Skaven to be one of those teams. also, as dwarf mini renders are the only other actual minis to be shown off, i would expect dwarves to make the DeathZone cut as well.

Please just call the thread "News of new release" or similar.

Christ on a pedalo, this is big news!Bakunin wrote:Rumors say that it is: Bretonnia, Hobgoblins, the 4 Chaos God teams and Beastman roster.
Core rules deal with just the teams in the starter set; Humans and Orcs.
Deathzone (a book, not a box) is released on the same day. It contains league rules and rosters for 7 teams plus 20 Stars.
4 of these are plastic teams (making 6 plastic teams in total): Skaven, Dwarf, Elf, and Nurgle (released separately as single team boxes).
The rest will be resin. They're keeping the unnamed ones as a surprise for now along with the names of the Stars. Surprises are nice.
These are all CRP teams. They aren't changing the rosters.
Plastic teams will get resin additions, so a resin troll and stuff. Resin teams, I haven't actually asked if they'll be full team boxes or a starting team with boosters.
Future supplements will contain more CRP rosters and stars. Basically GW doesn't like printing rules if they don't first have the models.
The Specialist Brands studio fully expects us grognards to carry on using the Icepelt edition for rosters, and whatever others we fancy. They aren't going to come round your house and take your Norse away.
But for newcomers, well, they get to be excited by new rosters like we once were. And that's good because for every one of us reading this there is likely to be 10,000 new players who've never seen the full list of rosters.

multi purchase aside, thats pretty good (although I had hope from what I had read it was 6 teams rules in the base and 7 more in DZ, not to be)

are these 4 plastic teams supposed to be released at the same time as the boxed set and DeathZone, or later? i know you said that they don't want to release rules until the minis are ready to sell along with them, but i'm just digging for a little clarification.JT-Y wrote: 4 of these are plastic teams (making 6 plastic teams in total): Skaven, Dwarf, Elf, and Nurgle (released separately as single team boxes).

Re: Warhammerfest Roundup of the Bloodbowl release 2016 or 2
Not all at once no. GW has a habit of spreading a release over several weeks, this will be the same.
Consider that with two core products (box and DZ), 4 plastic teams, 3 resin teams, 20 Star Players, and team boosters, not to mention other things that aren't being mentioned, that's quite a lot to release even in just one month, so I would expect it to be interspersed with 40k and AoS releases.
We're going to have to wait for stuff. But waiting for stuff means we have paydays in between releases, and that's good, right?

Everything I'm saying was said over the weekend, I'm just lucky to have known some of it a bit longer and to be able to ask directly for clarifications.Kaiowas wrote:thank nuffle for JT-Y and loose lips of his source
Anything else I hear I'll share if I'm allowed to. The studio guys want us to know stuff because they want us to be excited rather than concerned.

"The pitch will have 32 mm squares"
Who measured that? Or is it an assumption? Because Silver Tower squares are not 32mm, but a bit more, 33 or 34.
BTW, Bakunin is wishing or trolling.

I'm 99% certain the the "new teams" refers to new models not races added to the game.
Why would they want to mess about with balancing new rosters when there are 18 more teams to choose from after the initial 6?

Re: Warhammerfest Roundup of the Bloodbowl release 2016 or 2
Above quotes were taken from the NAFs Warhammerfest Roundup.
- The core rules will be the CRP. There will be no changes. This has been confirmed a great many times.
- There are more supplements planned and more content to come. Supplements will bring in more rosters we recognise from the CRP complete with new models, along with new and old star players, all in resin, until all 21 teams are available, and more
It got me thinking...
If no changes are being made to CRP, wouldn't that mean GW will drop Chaos Pact, Slann and Underworld again?
In the second quote they're speaking about 21, not 24 teams!
Any opinions or even better informations about that?
