i really wish that the teams names weren't printed on as i have no intention of sticking with those names. and i wish the human team had an ogre mini, but it is what it is i suppose.
everything else looks great.

I have really struggled with painting some resin miniatures lately. I'm reluctant to buy anything other than plastic or metal. How does your "spin cast" resin compare with other types on the market at present.

Hi ramchop! The spin-casted resin is more similar to plastic due to the production process so it may differ a little from other resins. The minis may present some small flashes easily removed but the level of detail is very good. This kind of production also ensures a very good production time and a competitive cost that allows us to reduce the final price of the teams. That said, the professional who painted the human and dark elf linemen for the campaign said that he found no problem doing the job and maybe that's the best answer to your question ;)

I agree with the ogre. Would have been a nice addition!
Also, I really would have preferred metal. Would make it much more attractive to me. :)

is there a comparable project or company that uses similar spincast?

I have been looking to get a new human team for a while but it seems to be so hard to tell apart the positions with these new teams.

Looking at the Imperial Lions picture, at first glance players #1-4 look like they are the blitzers (chunkier armour, spikes on a knee, full-face helmets etc), but a couple of the linemen aren't that much different. Is there really enough difference between #4 blitzer and #9 or #11 linemen?

The dark elves do seem better (ie blitzers have only one leg touching the ground and more ornate helmets)

Seems like I'm the only one afraid that GW will change the game is such a way next fall (thus shortly after this would end up in my hands) that all old fields etc will become obsolete... and that's the only thing holding me back. So please persuade me

What a start! We're so happy! Thank you all for your support and coments. We're very close to unlock the first stretch goal also! :)

TheDancingClown, we will show better photos of the team minis so you could see the differences. First of all the blitzers are more dinamic and with more armor plates. They also wear different helmets. There's also one more thing to difference every position, the dots on the chest. Blitzers chest armor goes with four dots, linemen's three, thrower's two and catcher's one.

I absolutely love the look of this, my only problem (to echo El Hombre above) is that with the new GW box due next year which will have a new field and a new human team, I'm having a really hard time justifying spending this amount of cash on a new field when it may very well be obsolete next year should the new edition have a significant enough rules change.

Although, having said all that, it's such a nice box and great looking teams that I may end up saying screw it and buying it all anyway in the hope that GW don't do something silly like changing the pitch dimensions.

I do have a hard time resisting buying shiny new BB toys.....
