I emailed some rules clarifications on the random rostered skills before Game 3 but thought I would repeat them here in case others are interested in the answers (which I'll post or the organisers can) -

1. am I assigning one particular skill to 2 players or potentially can I nominate 2 skills? An example: Am I giving block to 2 random players? Or can I give block to one randomly assigned player and dodge to one other?

2. What happens if I nominate the block skill and a player who already has block gets it? eg a wardancer? Do I get to roll again or is that tough luck?

3. If the answer to question 1 is that I can nominate 2 skills (eg dodge and block) then what about if I nominate a skill like "Leader" (or any passing skill) and I only have one player on my roster for whom that is a 'normal' skill? Does it go to them (ie some rules abuse let's be honest!) or can any player who doesn't have leader get it?

4. As I write these I realise some of this confusion could be summarised by saying - what is a 'normal' skill? Ie normal for who? My thrower or my lineman?

You roll to see who is given a normal skill. You choose whatever normal skill you want him to have.

You are just rolling to see who gets a skill - you can choose what skill they get. If you roll the same player on both rolls, then you can choose two different normal skills.

No - you roll to see who gets a normal skill, then select a normal skill for him based on the skills available to him.

Yes - the skills you choose for that player depend on what skills are available to that player. It's supposed to be a bit of a risk - you can always just pick a single Doubles skill

While I'm at it, I should say that it's entirely possible (and indeed did happen last year) that the player you give a normal skill to in Round 2 ends up randomly being chosen in Round 3 to receive another two further normal skills. You can end up with a really amazing player but there is an eggs/basket situation which could prove disastrous!
