My grasp of the English Language has never been my greatest assit, thanx four ponting tha oot ;)

I think the rule book needs a reshuffle that's all, put all the relivent stuff next to each other and mak it flow more easier. I'd love to give examples but i'm nowhere near my icepelt so you'll all have to trust me on this...

Well, that is kind of a problem.
You need some official rules to play tournaments worldwide.
Until now, the LRBs and now CRP have been the official rules because they were released by GW.

If GW now released a new set of rules, those would count as official.
If you used the old rules, they'd be your houserules.
Or do you know a way to convince all of the BB players to stick with older rules?
What about newcomers to the game who then don't even know there were "better" rules?

That is why I feel i HAVE to use new and official rules.
To keep the community play the same game.

The issue is when you will want to play with someone you don't know = when you want to increase your player base. If the official promoted ruleset is not the same than the one you use you will not be able to play together because you actually don't play the same game.
This will split the community between the "old version" players and the "new version" players knowing that the new version will last for only a few years when they realise that they cannot make Bloodbowl become the new Magic.

Yes, and yep, enough to know I hate it and don't want to do it again.

Plus most of you wouldn't like the rules I'd push for. ;)

Oh, and the job is for a Product Manager for not only Blood Bowl but all specialist games.
The guy they'll hire will probably NOT design any rules. :orc:

Maybe not - they'll just choose and brief the guy who does. I think my original point stands.

Problem is I've seen the handcuffs that come out from marketing and legal when trying to do game design. The biggest reason I made Elfball was from the experience of creating the CRP (to create without rules on creating) (and then again with the Khorne team). So while I love the game ... I know I could not mentally go through the hallways of rules that get placed on the game designer at GW. So I hope someone who gets BB gets this job.

To keep the community play the same game.
But they weren't really released by gw. The current rules set is this amalgamation of changes and tweaks over the years by the guys who made it what it is. There is no "official" game cause gw abandoned it a decade ago. We've all as a community banded together to play the House rules we have now.

Now..your right..I don't know how to tell the collective universe "hey guys we have a rulesdet we like...lets use that" But..imo...we should be able to as a group resit eh need to conform to the people (GW) who have mistreated us in the past and say "hey..no...we don't like that thing your doing...were not gonna do it."

I may just be naive in this though.

The BBRC was essentially a GW construct. They produced the LRBs.

LRB6 was picked up, edited for fluff and released as CRP by Games Workshop.

Thank you, Shteve0.
Exactly what I would have answered.

Like I said, I'm sticking to official rules whenever I can.
Yes, even if I don't like them.
