Best Miniatures in a Supporting Role

Post by Digger Goreman »

For any reason you wish to give, what is (are) your favorite non-player mini (or two) for the Blood Bowl game?

I will gladly put forth Fanath Art's Bob and Jim! Two iconic figures of the Blood Bowl universe....

Honorable mention to Citadel's goblin 'ooligans....

I always liked this WHFB Volley Gun Engineer as a coach.
I've seen him painted up so his pages had arrows etc, like an NFL play book.

Tough choice. :-?

I like the earlier posts (Yay! Halfling Chef!), but for arguments sake, I'll pick IMPACT! Bloodweiser babes...and all of the Shadowforge Referees!
(Honorable Mention is the Grandma Wendy getting kicked by Galak Halflling miniature!)

This old-school Ork Painboy is currently doing a wonderful* job as Team Apothecary for my 3rd Ed plastic orc team. I love the facial expression on this mini, absolutely perfect for a Blood Bowl apoth.

He must be doing something right. Your team hasn't suffered any deaths or stat reductions, and only one niggle!

I can't find my pictures of my figure, but Moodygit painted an old Warhammer Dark Emissary from the Dark Shadows campaign up for me. He painted play tactics on both the scroll and the cloak, and the figure has ended up being the coach on every team I've taken to tournaments, except for my Dwarfs (which had something else).

Here's a pic of the figure (not my one):

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I use Reaper's Egyptian God statue minis as Khemri reroll tokens. It's like calling on the gods every time you need to change the dice.
