Re: Hosi Komi Stats
He had some stats in the 3rd edition rules (well, the Compendium). I believe he was a ST3 Human Catcher with Nerves Of Steel and Block?

Hoshi Komi Human Catcher 8 3 4 7 110,000 human team only, Catch, Dodge, Leap
Cant say what edition those stats come from as the webpage doesnt say (that I saw). Though the last update was April 1999 and it talks about the recent 3rd game. That kind of dates the material.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Hosi Komi Stats
This guy would be about 200k in modern terms. 110k for that stateline is an absolute steal.lunchmoney wrote:http://theminiaturespage.com/rules/fan/bbstarup.html

Re: Hosi Komi Stats
I'm not sure that version of Hoshi was ever official.
End of 3rd/4th edition he was pretty much the same though:
8 3 4 7 Catch, Dodge, Leap 120k
So maybe he was 110k at the start of 3rd? I can't find any reference for him though. The 2nd ed figures were still available for a long time into 3rd and 4th edition. So they made stats for them. They were also put in the mini BB citadel catalogue. So in the end they made them official.
2nd edition he was (as that card on ebay)
4 4 2 4 0 +1 8
Block (2), Dodge (4), Itchy Feet, Jump up, Leap (4), Mighty Blow (2)
He was a SERIOUSLY good star. level 4 was the equivalent of 2 skills. Itchy Feet was a negative which meant he only stayed for one game. Block and Dodge were more like ST and AG than block and dodge of today.
Hmmmm I'd translate that to:
8 3 5 7
Dodge, Jump up, Catch, Leap, Sprint, Claw and animosity to replace itchy feet
Edit: Actually thinking about it MB should of course be Claw (due to him having claws).

Re: Hosi Komi Stats
We had a throwback event with old stars. They were priced low to encourage their use, but also came with a "Nagging Injury," which meant they had to roll 2+ to take part in each drive.
Our Hoshi Komi was 8/2/4/6 Loner, Dodge, Leap, Dodge, Shadowing, Sidestep. 140k.
I think he works well in representing a ninja. Threatening and relentless, but easy to kill if you can get your hands on him.
