Hi guys! I joined the forum to read this thread following recent dealings with Shelswell. I had the whole charity event thrown at me, and with it being a cancer charity it got to me after my experiences with the vile disease.

I saw a post by Alex Crisp from Astral Painting warning about this guy after I'd started painting a Shelswell blood bowl commission. Long story cut short, but after emailing the charity concerned - St Mary's Hospice Trust - I had a phone call from them today. He is indeed on the scam. He held an event for them at the back end of last year, and then promptly walked off with the money. They are still chasing him, and are taking it further as it is a fraud case. I'm emailing them tomorrow with what information I have, so any more to pass on would be gratefully received

Concerning his address, keep in mind that he moved house a few months ago so make sure to pass the current address on. I think Bart / magictobe has his latest known location.

Apologies, got the better of myself. Was from a combo of Goldbaek's earlier post, a PM to another Daventry user which didn't get fully concluded to be fair and the participant listing. Could all be co-incidence however.

I'm also on the list of folks minus a team and wasn't as angry until I saw the above messages about the charity event, largely because I'd figured there was this risk of disappearing teams anyway at the outset. I thought I'd give the guy a go, rather than assuming his original postings leant towards the things discussed in this thread.

My team may, or may not be in the post to me, but the fact that he said he'd posted it finally last week means its now largely out of my hands. I'd seen this as a possibility, so shouldn't get too mad and shouldn't get too jumpy. Apologies!

I very much doubt he will still be attending the tournament, but will speak to the organiser to confirm.

If the charity accusations are true, I find that disgusting.

For the record, I'd like to note that the (unpainted) team that was supposedly sent back to me months ago hasn't arrived.
