Great interest so far, would like to start taking payments in September and I will announce here when ready. If you are a defiant freebooter then please let me know and I will add you to the list of confirmed freebooters and we will make freebooter teams up. Fingers crossed we have an even amount of teams...

I believe I'm definitely a freebooter. Would be happy to be teamed up with Hawk as we will be wearing the same club shirts :)

Poo. I only just realised I can't attend this weekend now. It clashes with the Star Trek convention in London which I've already bought tickets for.

Sorry guys :(

WeeManBiggins wrote:Unfortunately due to a number of reasons we are making the tough call to cancel the Cromwell Rumble this year. A busy calender and problems with the venue are factors in this. Hopefully next year we may be able to host it. Thanks to those who had shown interest and to the guys at HDWSBBL (namely Sandwich, thedoc and Callum) for helping to organize and sorry your efforts were wasted this time.

Hopefully see you all at Boudica Bowl III which will happen.

Maybe the world was just not ready for rulesets concocted by drunken fools...

Next year I'll push for the 2m TV tournament instead

Wouldn't bother Sarni think I will stick to just Boudica, with normal rules most tournaments are run

While I wasn't planning to come along (I don't get to too many tournaments at the moment) while you may get some people moving away, I actually like different rulesets. Thrud is a good example of this, as it is a rule set that you don't normally see and was one of the reasons I found the time to go. Admittedly, you might need to find the right rule set to tempt people.

Edit: A 2m tournament with development rules similar to Thrud might actually be fun too - I also went to the camdub, where my underworld had a large number of doubles only choices.

I liked the ruleset - playing two teams was a great idea although the problem for me would have been getting two team mates to join in. I would have attended as a freebooter if I hadn't double-booked though.

See you at Boudica Bowl III chaps!

Think I will can a team event by us, unless one of the other chaps at the club wants to run it. I will just stick to Boudica. Running a league and a tournament is more than enough for me.

If you liked the rules there's always the Pick'n'Mix. ;)
