Great idea dode ... sann ... can we do that?dode74 wrote:Do they even need to host it? Couldn't they simply use the link above? That way the entire "problem" remain's Cyanide's.

Just had word from Focus that you need to be logged into the forum to see the link - this was a GW request. Possibly those who are logged in but unable to see it need to clear cache.

Which means GW knows they did it ... yeah! Time can wear away certain things I guess. Logged out, cleared cache, logged back in - still don't see it.
I do now have a "Links" sub-forum, but when I click on it it's empty.

Yeah, I just created an alt there and see what you see. I suspect there are permissions issues which I hope they can resolve. I've altered the link in this post: http://forum.bloodbowl-game.com/viewtopic.php?p=72#p72

Re: Cyanide are now hosting the Icepelt rulebook
This bodes well for the NAF to host the Icepelt edition, or failing that simply to hotlink to the doc. on the Cyanide website.
There is something to be said for hosting the low res, easy/cheap to print on a home inkjet CRP and linking to a full colour version for them as want it.
As for GW giving permission, well they may have given Cyanide permission as Cyanide does pay them a fee. But GW is still unlikely to give the NAF permission, doing that opens a floodgate of requests. GW is more likely to turn an official blind eye towards the NAF hosting any docs. I'd be cautious of expecting anything more or asking for something more.
I don't play the computer game, but I have heard from someone I believe that the biggest (only real?) change is in the AI. Take that with a pinch of salt obviously, but I think it'll be a good thing for those who do play it.

And going from 23 (22 official, 1 house rule) rosters down to 8 (7 official, 1 house rule) - fairly big imo.JT-Y wrote:I don't play the computer game, but I have heard from someone I believe that the biggest (only real?) change is in the AI. Dode is a moderator so I guess he has special permissions and therefore he can see the link while we can't.

Yeah, and I suspect this is due to a screw-up their end (there's a shock!). I had it confirmed that everyone who is logged in should be able to see it.MattDakka wrote:Dode is a moderator so I guess he has special permissions and therefore he can see the link while we can't.
