I am genuinely angry that anybody would bring that to a tournament.
I dislike playing Dwarves (and Chorfs for that matter) at the best of times, but if the roster was legal and within the rules, then it's out of order to blame the Coach.
Blame the game.

There were several Dwarves there. I played 2. None of the others looked at the ruleset and said to themselves "You know what l can abuse this and ruin six games for everyone"

It was a dick move and l gave up very quickly and was a petulant child. Next time l will concede on the spot.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Will start planning for next year soon.
Any feedback on the venue would be great as if it's good we might be back there.
The venue was fabulous, the staff really impressed me, they were really nice and helpful and, from what I heard, the B&B costs were quite cheap too.

The food was good and loads of it, couldn't believe how much meat you guys got on Sunday! I had two cracking goats cheese roulades but only managed to eat one (and I'm a fat, greedy ba*t&*d).

I think if you imposed a limit on skills there wouldn't be much to change on the rosters I saw. I'd have had to change two dodge to block but that wouldn't have worried me as I originally considered taking two blockers for the line.

What would you guys have changed and would it have hurt your team really?

Really enjoyed the tournament, a first for while!
I can totally understand where Heff is coming from, it doesn't help that he hates dwarfs anyway, it can be a bit boring when all that happens is trudging up the field grinding out a score. Having played dwarfs for the first time I can see why its done, they can't really do anything else! I didn't spam all my guys up with guard but again I can see why it was done. The one thing I learnt from this tournament is what not to take for dwarfs as some of the skills were totally pointless, big learning curve.
Would I take dwarfs again??? Yes and I would and probably play like a dick if that was the only way to win, as long as within the rules. You could argue that spamming elves with dodge is a bit much? Or block on Saurus? It's part of the game and the challenge of getting around this is supposed to be the fun bit???
Just ask Hawc or myself how annoying it is when you get all the odds in your favour and all you can roll is ones!! If we could have a skill which meant rolling ones passed then we would be top tabling all the time.
There's my pennies worth, oh yes good venue and would definitely go back.

Any legal roster isn't a "dick move". There is always an answer, Dwarves are slow, predictable and limited in how they can react to opponents tactics. It's rarely a great game against Dwarves but they are perfectly beatable - even with loads of Guard.

I thought the Venue was at least 9/10. If it had been luckier for me on Sunday then it would have been perfect! :-?

I couldn't handle his roster - that's my problem, and the answer is to go away and think how to beat it next time :)

lol - like there's any other way to play them? :o

It's a roster, folks. It's not everyones cup of tea, but then neither are 6 x Piling On Ogres. Each to their own, and just learn to deal with it.

Or moan. But learning is more productive :D

Well done Magic Mike and your Lizzies
