The NAF Championship LIV - 23rd & 24th May 2015
Hello,
We are happy to announce the dates for the 2015 NAF Championship as the 23rd and 24th of May 2015. This is a Bank Holiday weekend. The event will again be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
Last year's event was not just the biggest individual Blood Bowl tournament in the world, but also the biggest single system tournament of any game in the UK. This is a party you do not want to miss!
Tickets are on sale now, and will again be priced at £55.00. Please send your money via PayPal to theNAFchampionship@gmail.com including your full name, contact email address, NAF username and number.
The rules pack can be found here : http://www.thenaf.net/downloads/NAFC2015.pdf
We will again be running the Best Painted and Duel competitions.
We have managed to negotiate extra discounted rooms at the adjacent Orchard Hotel for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We sold out our allocation this year so hopefully we can squeeze in a few more Blood Bowlers for that fantastic breakfast! Once you have purchased your ticket I'll send along the details of how to book. Rooms will be £60.00 for a twin / double or £50.00 for a single, but we ask that people buddy up if at all possible so we can fit in as many of you as possible.
Cheers
Joe

It's a national holiday in Denmark, but it's not on a fixed date. Nothing to do about it - We held Danish Open this day the last 10 or so years.

sounds like careless planning for the NAF championship
really is that the only weekend and why can't some consistency be gained by the NAF Championship?
Please be considerate of others and pick a weekend and stay with that date year to year

Re: The NAF Championship LIV - 23rd & 24th May 2015
They have to take a date offered by the venue, its not like the NAF is the only group that uses conference rooms.
Sure, having a fixed date would be nice, but if the venue says no then the NbAF's hands are tied.
As a non-confrontational suggestion could the NAFC team look at booking the hall for 2016 now, or is that not feasible? I know these place can get booked up years in advance.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: The NAF Championship LIV - 23rd & 24th May 2015
Looks like the Danish open dates move around a bit too, a search shows it's been 22-23 May, 7-8 June and 11-12 June. So just as much movement as the NAFC dates. Hope something can be done so that Lars and the Danes can still make it.

I guess it all boils down to the guys running the eventDarkson wrote:They have to take a date offered by the venue, its not like the NAF is the only group that uses conference rooms.

where are the priorities
The Event being:
a fixed location with variable weekends (they do not have to take crap from a venue unless their priority is the venue)
fixed date with location modifications (are there no other venues in England?)
I do not know where their priorities lay
they they claim it to be difficult to reserve the unknown
they could have looked and consulted with other major event organizers during that time frame
logistics man it is just logistics
