Probably being thick but when you say first instance of a skill etc do you mean first instance of a tier or a skill within a tier. So block and frenzy would be 2 +2, but block times 2 would be 2 +3?

Sorry missed this one Bob. Yep, you are quite correct. First instance of each skill within a tier is the lower price, thereafter all at the higher price. So :

Block + Frenzy + Sure Hands = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6
Block three times = 2 + 3 + 3 = 8
