If you get some online games under your belt, then TT isnt that much of a jump. There are Cyanide haters everywhere, but it really is a good way to learn the game.
And we were all noobs once. Personally I found my opponents very helpful and in the 13 or so TT events I've played, there have only been a couple of twats.

Thanks Itchen. Tbh I shouldn't be that bad. I know the basic rules and gameplay from the 3rd ed and just need to familiarise myself with the newer rules, skills and races etc. Surely its just like riding a bike

Just started replaying single player on the xbox version (I struggled to find online games when it launched so I imagine the multiplayer there is a graveyard now). I will see if I can teach the missus to play for some practice

I am in Horley, Surrey. I did see an old thread of a league in Redhill which I missed by a few months but I will try to pop along to the store one gaming night

I tried the x-box game...it's not quite right. If you can get the PC version on steam, it shouldnt be too expensive and is much much better (and has multiplayer)

Louis, thanks for payment, looking forward to seeing you!

For all you other Thrudballers, particularly repeat customers, please can you start getting your ticket fees in now please.

We would like to finance some new limited edition merchandise (possibly a Treeman model, some dice and maybe "Thrududo", which for IP reasons is of course nothing like the liars dice game perudo, possibly a new BRGAbabe vinyl board if Matt Dixon will allow, perhaps this lady as an apothecary?).

http://www.mattdixon.co.uk/g80.htm

Plus there are caterers to pay...

All this depends upon your skill in financial planning, i.e. Budgeting your ticket money as SOON as you've booked the weekend off with work and "she who must be obeyed".
Plus as I am a little behind this year due to late auction payers, any help to source auction items, chase up attendees etc would be MOST appreciated.

I'm counting on my regulars to help.me this year, my gigstick failed on me yesterday and threw me back two weeks to my last backup.... MAYDAY! MAYDAY! AROOGA! AROOGA! :D

Thrud needs YOU!
