I could do that, but it would be on my domain name. I'm sure there are others with more suited domain names (like this one, nudge nudge Doubleskulls...), but if none are forth coming....

I agree with you that a lot of great fluff basis was done in the first 3 Editions and Blood Bowl Magazines. However ... very large sections of the fluff for the Icepelt rulebook (aka what CRP was supposed to be) was written from scratch by both myself and Stephen Hutton. If you read the background, you'll find a lot of material that has never appeared before including also several new DYK boxes.

yup no doubt, stuff like the Chaos Dwarf exploding troll, the witch elf team and the Khemri stuff etc... I know a lot of work went in. I was just disputing that more of the fluff was fan made because the majority came from 1st, 2nd, and the magazines etc... like issues ermm 9 or 11 I forget.. anyway I’m talking about all that stuff about Zara’s background which is just amazing. The fan made stuff was more like your snotling team in issue 10 of fanatic or Neoliminals alternate stadium rules from BB mag 9 i think? etc... etc... (god I hate being at work and not being able to check). But I know there was a fair amount of original stuff in CRP. I always wished they made a huge rule book all shiny and new with all the fluff pieces ever written across all the different editions etc.. all in one place. That would be a sad little dream come true for me :P it gets very tiring sometimes trawling through really old white dwarves for shreads of info on a race. Though I found the white dwarf with Brew House bash in the other day which was a nice treat, it still had the cardboard cut outs in it too, was while I was looking for the deathzone whitedwarf, which I also found with nice cardboard cut outs in :D
Darkson wrote:I thought Ith (and other contributors) had pretty much covered all the official fluff there, including 3rd ed?
I haven’t checked for a while, they probably got most of 3rd down, as the fluff was fairly sparse for the 3rd ed release. But there is still little bits missing from 2nd ed era, like Praag Changelings for example – they are from Kislev and they are a Were team. There is a Tilean team mentioned as well, something Pastas (forgotten the first part of the name, but it is a province in Tilea IIRC) and there is other info missing. There are also 3 chaos teams listed as chaos teams but they have question marks next to their team names on the site. Probably a few bits and pieces from White dwarves as well.

But mostly it is missing all the stuff from the BB mags which are amazing reads fluff wise. Also it is missing stuff from the first 10 fanatic magazines which are the only ones I would count as having official fluff due to GW employees writing them all minus the tactica articles from DS, Joemanji (I think?, again I wish I could check) and Galaks Snotling team. I can’t remember as well, but there is probably stuff in the two annuals and 3 compendiums as well that could be added. Plus all the LRB5 /CRP stuff, though I am not sure putting that online would be the best idea due to the NDA Galak has with that content, would need his permission I guess as it’s his behind that gets handed to him if GW stumble across it.

I just went through the teams, I can’t check to make sure I am 100% correct atm because I am work and don’t have access to the books so I might be wrong on these as I am just going from my memory right now. But I am quite good at remembering this sort of thing.

Ashton Villains - Albion team
Burn Lea – I think this might be Chaos
Haffenheim Hornets – Humans (from the Empire IIRC), I think they got eaten by ogres anyway...
Heros of Law – hmm cant remember but I am sure there are details about these, I want to say humans and halflings for some reason though.
Knotinthem Forest – Albion team
Laurelorn Lepers – This one I know is not clear, could be human (because of the region, located in the northlands of the empire), could be Elf (as there are two other elf teams by this name (both wood elves, but just called elf in 2nd ed, also the other Elf team from Laurelorn is missing from the list), could be a troll team as the fluff appears in the troll section of the stars book. But the list is correct not to specify a race.
Lorien Greens – Elf (Wood)
Pergamo Pastas – Tilean
Praag Changelings – Kislev, Were team
Rotsdale – Only lists them as Chaos in 2nd ed but im pretty sure they are nurgle
Shufflings Woodsday – think these are Albion as well
Spearcamp Chieftains – this one I know is not clear but if I were to guess I would say pygmy based on companion coming out before GW discontinued their rather offensive Pygmy line of miniatures.

There is also another Halfling team called Shire something or other from a white dwarf in the 2nd ed era that doesn’t feature in the list.

I think you're find a lot of the info is missing on the LoN because the information doesn't exist. JJ (or someone in GW) made a lot of the fluff up on the fly. Back in the 2nd ed days I sent JJ a couple of letters with questions about BB, and ne of the questions I asked was about races within BB - the letters came back with hand written (in red pen) answers, but some of them were stepped with a 40K eagle with "Classified" written across it, with a hand written note next to it of "I.E. I don't know". So a lot of time there is no fluff other than the name - I think some of your "This is a xxx team" fall into that category, someone in the past has assumed a team is xxx and that's been taken as true.
I'll have to see if I can dig out the letters someday (which would be embarrassing).

Sure, some may be guesses there, when I get a chance to check properly I will. The praag one, the Albion ones and the chaos ones are definitely correct though.

So, whos in charge of the Lore of Nuffle Site now?

I don't want to upgrade the whole site, but the Winners of the four majors could be done after some research.

The Majors winners are all on the NAF site, though they were put on as a pdf, which probably wasn't very sensible as it becomes arduous to update. I should look into making that a living document.

Definitely not in the future of the Warhammer universe - the years of the BB winners correspond with the year in the Warhammer universe right? I.e. our years +500.
