Streetbowl Amsterdam 14 and 15 December

Post by Princelucianus »

14 & 15 December.

No inducements.

Saturday start at 10:00, hopefully for 6 games.
Sunday start at 11:00, hopefully for 5 games.

If we have an uneven number, some players will not play for one round. They will get 1/2 points.

Rule change.

If you foul a player, it will be spotted. Even if the foul fails.
Throw a rock to the square where the fouling player was standing. A player from the crowd will throw it from behind the endzones. Calculate the range with the throwing template, using AG 3 as the score. Calculate as a normal pass without extra skills.

The rules:
http://zlurpcast.com/JP/Street_Bowl_Rules_2012.pdf

Picking teams will start on the 1st of October. Those who come from far away pick first. Only two teams of each race may be present.
Venue:
http://www.cafedeschutter.nl/?language=nl

There's no fee, obviously it's not a NAF event.
Players will/must bring stuff which others can pick as a prize.
Winner picks first obviously

I know it's during Brassbowl, but other dates in December are impossible.

Sirsebstar, I'll PM you when teamchoice is up.
It's furthest travelled to get first pick, so people from Amsterdam will pick last.

Hoi,

Halflings with a twist shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Lucy and everyone

If you would like the event to be NAF ranked under the soon-to-be-official Streetbowl (and other Variant) sections of the rankings, then please submit it as a NAF tournament. This will be separate from the regular Blood Bowl rankings as per LRB/CRP.

I will mark it as a 'Streetbowl variant' and the results can be added to the relevant subset of the results database once they are ready. Indeed you will be able to mark it yourself prior to approval. Thanks Mepmuff for the technical changes which now make this possible.

I very much hope you would like it to be a NAF tournament, as I'm keen for the variants to be represented not only retrospectively in the NAF results, but also in future events.

Added. Nice!

If I could have entered last years, I would've been number 1 :orc:

Cool. I have listed it as Pending rather than Approved at this stage, until the rankings proper can support the separate sections. It is however marked as Streetbowl and once those sections go live, we can enter the results. So please keep a record of the matches and I will be in touch when we're ready.

Hi All.

The A'dam Streetbowl Tournament will be this Saturday and Sunday:
Please remember to:
Bring a pitch if you have one.
Bring your team.
Rules if you have them (http://zlurpcast.com/JP/Street_Bowl_Rules_2012.pdf)
A give away......

The games will start on 10:30 on saturday and 11:30 on sunday.
Saturday:
1st Round: 10:30-11:30
2nd Round: 11:45-12:45
3rd Round: 13:00-14:00
4th Round: 14:30-15:30
5th Round: 15:45-16:45
And, if everything goes according to plan:
6th Round: 17:00-18:00

Sunday:
1st Round: 11:30-12:30
2nd Round: 12:45-13:45
3rd Round: 14-15-15:15
4th Round 15:45-16:45

It seems we will have 11 players.
If this is correct, each player will have 1 round off.

De Schutter will open around 10:00 on Saturday and around 11:00 on Sunday.

10 players this year, but we were able to play 9 rounds, instead of the 7 last year.
And let's see who won.

1: Lucy 21 pts.
2: Vinc. D 17 pts.
3: Cern 15 pts (most TD's and most Cas's)
4: Niels 13 pts (4th the whole tourney)
5: Vincenzo O. 13 pts. (Best Sunday comeback, 2 places)
6: El Condor 11 pts.
7: Dr. Von Richten 10 pts. (9 places better than last year)
8: Sirsebstar 8 pts.
9: Panico 7 pts.
10: Gorbad 5 pts.

It was hilarious.
Amazon appear to be broken!

A weird, weird set of games, with my Dwarves not being very damaging, yet ridiculously effective with their armour breaks (aside from that game versus Lucy's Amazons, or Vincenzo's Skaven). Very, very happy ending in second place, and my Dwarves definitely will be back next year for some retribution... :orc:

2 halflings teams were a surprise for more players. Them being emminently bad at bloodbowl and with sometimes that +2 to the armour roll still not breaking their armor still did not prevent them from winning some games.
Halflings are broken.. they are that good ;-) at eating buns.
Next year ill.... crush those nasty hobbitses

Potions creating Ogres on the halfling pitch was quite scary. The Condor's Khemri f.i. team who was outstrengthed by Halflings.

Strongest teams for Streetbowl:
Amazon, Lizardmen, Dwarf. Chaos Dwarf.

Never pick for Streetbowl:
Norse,

Remains weak but people keep thinking they should rule:
Orcs.
