mike kriger memorial cup october 26th 2013

Post by bound for glory »

its almost that time! the mike kriger memorial cup will be held on october 26th 2013, at the nesquehoning rec center.
i have contacted our past sponsors and i thank jorge from willy miniatures for getting back to me so fast! i can't wait to see what goodies he sends for the prizes! as you may know, i make sure EVERYBODY leaves with a prize fom our event. and this year, everybody will walk away with CAROL AND MAX, our first tourney figures!

we also want to add to our donations for the wounded warrior fund, which helps wounded vets with medical rehab., housing, and child care. a good cause. we had people come and watch the finals at the end of the day, just to give a donation to the fund. maybe they will be playing this year?
come and find out.

Shouldn't make much difference - as long as you have a standard ruleset, you still have a few months so shouldn't be a problem. Might get a few more attendees?

If you join the NAF at the moment you get to choose a set of coloured block dice from those in stock. If you get your tournament NAF ranked it appears on the NAF website and makes it easier for people to find, hopefully, and thus more likely to attend. PM Xtreme, the US Tournament Organiser, and he should be able to sort you out.

well, boys, it looks like 22 for our event this saturday. thats awsome. we may get a couple more at start time, but i'm happy with 22.
as for prizes, i'm sweating :( we have, in hand, the figures donated by tom at impact! and jeorge at willy. also, my dear friend simon has come through again with him and his crew giving some great swag.
that leaves the first prize, which is a team from fabio at gaspez arts. i requested a chaos team this year, and fabio has hooked us up, but its not here yet  i have hope for friday or saturday before puck drop...and jason offered to send an itam or 2 for door prizes. all great guys that i'm sure mike would have een happy to meet.

26!26!26!

we had 26 players this year! 2f ing 6! we had 26 people playing the game of blood bowl!

the first place was won by frank zigafuss playing gnomes. we used the rules from toms old site. and it was very close between first and second.

2nd place was ed ring playing skaven(the lebanon plague)

3rd place was ron sandt playing kemri(boney undertakers)

and the winner of the GLOWWORM AWARD went to bob limeberry playing humans(moscow murderers)

sorry to say, the first place prize did"nt get here in time(a team from gaspez arts), but i'm very sure it will be here on monday or tuesday, so i'll get him his prize then.
i'll post more on monday :D
