Back in UK - near Swindon

Post by Chris »

Actually in the Defence Academy in Shrivenham.

So, what blood bowl action is in the area, anyone know? I have found a Swindon blood bowl forum but it won't let me register. Likewise a wargames club but there they expect me to pay for the pleasure of playing...

Talk to Glowworm, Sann0638 or Hudson, they are all members of the Swindon league, amongst others.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Hello! Can I point you towards cakebowl.co.uk, the Cakebowl group on Facebook, CakebowlBB on Twitter, and http://swindonbb.freeforums.org (which predates cakebowl, otherwise it would have had the same name).

And in the meantime, I am home alone every evening next week, if you fancied travelling over for a friendly. I'm < 20 minutes from Shriv, as I'm on the east side of Swindon.

Cheers,
Mike

Well all my teams, boards, bits and bobs are in London, so currently I would be borrowing teams...

Now registered on site, oddly I wasn't able to before, doing something wrong. Are you 20 minutes by car? I am on foot. Saying that in the defence academy I do have a fantastic venue for games, once you are booked in of course (indeed a great place for tournaments!).

Ah yes, by car. Happy to make the trip over in a few weeks though. If you want to meet everyone (though again, transport dependent) there is an end of season gathering in the evening of Sunday 27th Oct, someone can give you a lift over if you can get the bus down to Swindon.

Cakebowl Season 7 pre-season starts now, friendlies until Christmas then a scheduled round robin in the new year, with matches arranged at mutually convenient locations. Come one, come all! Cakebowl.co.uk for full details, or PM me.
