Well, here is something about ogres. If you want two types of players that are totally different, 6 five strength players, 16 strength 1 players, and absolute carnage and chaos on a blood bowl pitch, and totally no realiability, then ogre's is for you. They are just about only for that player who is really dedicated to them. I used to be like that until I fell for halflings. I would play the gobbs, but miniatures are scare around here, but I have thought about using chess pieces for the secret weapons.

We had an all-snotling team in my league, and it got two draws (out of eight games). I don't know if this speaks well of the viability of such a team, or just means our league has some incompetent coaches. Their coach spent all of his inducement money on cards and wizards, that might have helped.

Those snotlings also crippled my AG5 dark elf renegade by pushing him into the crowd on a 3d uphill block.

I enjoy the ogre team (and the all-snotling team!), and I'm hardly a power-gamer!
In fact, I don't think I know any power-gamers that would take ogres.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Power Gamers for the most part are average to ehh coaches, they may have a bunch of wins but that does not make them a top notch coach. They do not understand that greatly skilled coaches can take a tier 3 teams [Ogres in this example] and win, WHILE HAVING FUN and when the Ogre player looses, they often loose by 2 points or less.

On the other hand there are some great coach coaches that play power teams. These are the ones who enjoy the game when you get ahead with a lesser team or find a hole they might have left open, and will not miffed when they loose to another great coach.

On the other, other hand there are some power gamers who are great coaches, only take top tier teams and are sore losers. Fun doesn't even enter the equation for them unless they get the big trophy. They are the bane of miniatures tournaments in general and I've met far too many of them. :puke:

:D
You and that guy with the orc picture really nailed it on the power gamers. Ogre's are pretty much only fun for those who care not if they win. Ogre's can be fun for the chaotic characteristics. I really like the ogre's.

Nah, I play to win and I'm sure people would refer to me as competitive in nature but I've taken ogres and will again. I still am out to win with them while having fun

There are people who are out to win, and there are A holes. The former I will play happily, after all I am out to win. The latter I meet enough of in real life and can live without when I am out to have fun.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

I play to win also, but still put having fun first. I don't attempt to lose sleep over a loss, but I always strive to get better.

I hate dwarves because they are boring. Playing wuth or against. They are no more boring if you are playing chaos than flings. Although thee is some satisfaction in playing developed chaos with lots of claw mighty blow and pile on. Then you get the joy of hearing the whining as you destroy them.

Unless you're playing against or interacting with Dwarf coaches or would-be Dwarf coaches. Then A-Holery is acceptable, yea? hehe

Heff, most dwarf coaches I have played against can be quite annoying and just right out mean to the point of wanting to destroy their figures. I just want to play chaos with a ton of claw mighty blow piling on and beat the beards off of a dwarf team, clear the pitch, and say, games over, I killed everybody.
