Lord Howell was quoted recently as describing it as "desolate", but apparently he correctly said that the North East was desolate, the North West is just "unloved"scs.sam wrote:Why what's up with the North West ?Darkson wrote:South West if you please.

Re: Exiles Part V: Werewolf Strikes Back 7&8/9/13 Dorset
I will post on the other tread but I thought it may be relevant to post this here too. I didn't even realise there was an early bird bonus so I've missed the team submission deadline, by chance I paid early enogh to get coaches.
Bit miffed as I downloaded the rulespack and only used that as a point of reference and even though I am subscribed to this topic, I haven't recieved a single notification of new posts. The rulespack, unfortunately, has absolutely nothing in it about early bird stuff and I really can't remembering hearing it mentioned (but then I have next to no memory of anything ever, really, none, zip) so I've been "blissfully" unaware the whole time.
I just paid early because it's the sensible thing to do, if you want to go to a tournament why not just book it and pay then and there, dealt with, you can go, done. Maybe the best way to encourage people to get paying and get their roster in is to only book them in when you get both, otherwise that slot isn't secured (I know most tournaments don't allways fill up but fear is a killer). You can't pay for a flight when you board the plane.
Has anyone from the NAF even raised an eyebrow over this subject, it must at least have touched on the rules if only gently?
Sorry Al if I've stressed you out. I'm not attempting to recruit a mob with pitch forks and torches or anything and rules is rules and all that, I think I just simply didn't get to see that there was a deadline
(Everyone say aahhhhhh... sniff).

Unfortunately not correct - look at the top of page 3 in this thread.canteloup wrote:I didn't even realise there was an early bird bonus so I've missed the team submission deadline,

Yeah, looks like I noticed it, posted, and instantly forgot I needed to get a roster in. My post was questioning whether it was a good idea though and I definately feel the same especially after reading some of the posts on the other thread. There must be a better way to encourage people to book and pay early.Darkson wrote:Unfortunately not correct - look at the top of page 3 in this thread.canteloup wrote:I didn't even realise there was an early bird bonus so I've missed the team submission deadline,
As I said, rules is rules, and I'll play with smile. Didn't intend to upset Al and it seems it's my own silly fault I've no CLs. after all. In my defence I really honestly have a terrible memory (amesic syndrome as it happens).

Well on the plus side there's a good chance we'll play each other and to pay for my CL's and AC's I had to drop an appo so you'll only have to kill each player oncecanteloup wrote:As I said, rules is rules, and I'll play with smile. I'm just looking at them as something else to help me lose - Albion just gone, I didn't win a single Fame-based roll, even in the game where I had fame and a CL. Think the last time I won a reroll was after I scored in turn 16 of a game at Spiky.canteloup wrote:As I said, rules is rules, and I'll play with smile. If my opponant has 2 CLs and I don't, then will I get 20k in inducements for the match?

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

What time do we have to be at the venue tomorrow morning? I'm on the train there now and have no access to the rules pack (the link is broken).
