Worst start ever for a team

I also started a wood elf team, and before the first kick, a thrown rock killed one of the wardancers.

I had this happen in game 2 of my first ever league, complete nightmare with 5 games left to go.

A few games in on a team that I thought would sweep the league:

2 blodge wolves
2 ghouls sh block on one and block on the other
2 Golems with block
2 wights, one with MiB

In the first two turns, my opp killed a werewolf (the only regen that worked), killed BOTH ghouls, and -St on one Golem.... A real nuffling dice rape....

Are you Irish? I would have retired that team after the thrower died, but you stuck it out for 10 more matches. The Irish are the only ones that I know stubborn enough to abuse themselves in such a manner.

Ah retiring a team just because a single player dies... It's BLOOD bowl! Can see the point after Dr. Von R's game though.

Yeah, even if I didn't retire the team, I was never going to play it again if I could at all avoid it; since there's little fun in being absolutely useless. OTOH, in my very first match in that league (2010, and the first match for me since 1997 or so), my Chaos Dwarfs suffered a Dead CD, a -AV one and a -MV Bull, and I did keep the team.

Just started a Norse team on FUMBBL. My first game was against a Chaos team that had played 3 games. They had 3 or 4 Journeymen and only 3 skills (1 x CW with Block, 1 x Beastman with Block, 1 x Beastman with +AG).

I received 3 perm SI's (Niggle, -ST and -AV) and a Death. The Norse did not cause a single Cas in return. Thankfully all the injuries were on Linemen and I rolled 60k for winnings, but that will still take me a while to get back to a full squad of 11 players. Thank Nuffle for Journeymen!

So that's probably the worst ever start I've had to a team.
