I have my underworld team sorted, thank you. I tend to treat mutation skills like others, rather than trying to represent them!

Ok as it's a bit to close to the event to do any real digging for this event I will say underworld with NO RAT of any kind and Lizard with NO SARUS of any kind.
ALL OTHER STARS ARE OK, so take Zara and go stab snottlings (it's what I did when I took ogres at Poo Bowl X, 2 stars allowed so took Zara and Berth)

The only basis I have for this is playing far, far too much Blood Bowl, but the general rule on Stunty Cups is that Lizards aren't elligible in any form (too good; I can't recall them being elligible anywhere, off hand) and Underworld are a greyer area, but sometimes allowed without rostered rats (but I think in the cases they are OK, Skitter normally shows up).

Personally, I'm a huge believer in there being three Stunty teams, and they contest the Stunty Cup. But I'm not really sure it hurts anyone to be a bit fruity in this area; so long as the elligibility question is answered early enough such that everyone is aware of the goalposts, to each TO his own. After all, you're not changing the rules of Blood Bowl in any way, you're simply defining what is allowed to win an award. I think things like Majors or World Cups should clearly stick to the big three (and I think they do), but beyond that, not sure there's an issue. You're (theoretically) handicapping your Lizards (for example) compared to Lizards used elsewhere to contest a one off cup.

I've submitted my roster, and am looking forward to seeing you all Saturday.

So you'll be handing those Southern Stunty Cup Championship points back then?
posted a reply to Loki's thread :)
The SWTC has this to say about it, "Qualifying Stunty teams are Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Lizards with no Saurus and Underworld with no Skaven." Star players aren't counted, as has been said, 'flings can take Zara. I know the Underworld and Lizards are different, but at the end of the day, by taking no Saurus a lizardman team is just Stunties and a Big Guy. Just like 'flings. So why cant they take a Star Player who isnt Stunty or Big? I don't believe we'll make any exceptions for SWTC. Obviously the TO of each event can say what they like about Stunty Cup that they allow, but these teams qualify for Stunty SWTC.

I did ask if Skinks were not allowed as they were too good last year...

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=37136

and that didn't appear to be the main complaint against them.

I am going to based in my new found Power Gamer status :)

I spoke to Lycos and he was of the opinion that any Star Player should be fine for Underworld, considering Ogre teams could field 6 rostered Ogres and 2 Star ones (thus only fielding 3 Snots).

Obviously it's your tourney and your rules, but maybe they should be allowed?

Guys I will listen to agruments for and against and decide tomorrow.
I Have my own view which is that all stars should be allowed as they are stars but if anyone is elequent enough to convince me otherwise I'll listen.

Crumb-bowl is allowing both Skavenless and Saurusless teams as stunties, however fielding a star that's not a gobbo or a skink will invalidate that. That's my view.

When I played stunty lizards ( which are allowed at Thrud this year BTW) I never considered taking a " non" stunty star, and IF I take one this year it will be a skink.....( so Hemlock then)

My opinion is that additional Ogres on an Ogre team, or trees on a Fling team are fine, humans (Zara) or St4 mutated rats are not!!

Whatever Hudson decides will be fine with me, I may not like it but it will be fine.....
