B7 2013 - Tournament 29./30.06.2013 in Stuttgart/ Germany

Dear friends and fans of B7,

finally, we got good news: the Auryn 2013 will take place from 28th to 30th June 2013. Unfortunately, good news as usual bring bad news along, which is that the substitute venue “Jugendhaus” is quite limited compared to the previous one “Tannenberg”.

Most important changes are:
- Space is more limited at the Jugendhaus. It is located in the industrial area of Sindelfingen, not at the fringe of the forest as the Tannenberg.
- Camping will not be possible, and there are no showers at the Jugendhaus. So we highly recommend to any participant to book a hotel or bed&breakfast.
- There is only a rather small kitchen, so there won’t be much alternative food to the barbeque.
- Alcohol (except beer and wine) and smoking is prohibited throughout the premises of the Jugendhaus. For smoking you will not only have to walk out of the door, but off the premises out on the street.

Our tournament will be suffering most from the limited space. Instead of a 160m² hall we will have only 100m² hall. We don’t know the exact measurement yet, but we suppose won’t be able to accept more than 40 participants. Which is about only half as many as the previous years. We feel quite bad for anybody we will have to reject, and even considered to cancel B7 for 2013. We are aware whatever we do, a lot of people won’t be happy about it. But lamenting doesn’t lead us anywhere, we needed a solution, so here is what we will do:
- We will offer B7 as invitational tournament only.
- We will invite you according to your attendance at previous B7 tournaments, with an focus on the previous 5 years. So please don’t send any registration, unless you received an invitation.
- Invitational tournaments are not eligible to be NAF approved. So the matches at B7 this year will not affect your NAF ranking and there won’t be a NAF trophy to win.
- Due to limited number of participants we will also reduce the number of trophies and giveaways.
- As usual we will appreciate any of your stadiums you bring. However, we should be able to provide all tables with our own stadiums this year. Since not everybody who maybe worked on a fantastic new stadium during the year will be able to take part in B7, there will be no “Best Stadium” competition and trophy this year. So if you worked on a new stadium, better keep it as a surprise for next year!

We send this email to everybody who attended at least one B7 within the last 5 years. The first invitations will be sent afterwards separately.
We thank you very much for your support throughout all those years, and we’ll appreciate your understanding of the circumstances. Let’s keep our fingers crossed the renovation works at Waldheim Tannenberg will be finished by next year and B7 2014 can be held under conditions as usual again!

As I sit here painting my B7 ghoul and loving the B7 Golem that has been playing for my Necro teams, I hope that you will consider making a mate for the 2012 Ghoul of yesteryear! Nothing wrong with the zombie this year... just not my cup of tea and I had so many zombies already... but there is nothing that compares to last year's ghoul and mine needs a running mate... please!!!

Maybe, with luck and wealth, I can even visit you guys from my hopeful French vacation in 2014 (my lovely wife is French )

...I hope that you will consider making a mate for the 2012 Ghoul of yesteryear!...

Unfortunately because of the special situation this year the Zombie will be again the Giveaway for the "B7 2014" (hopefully this time the date and location will be fixed before end of this year).

And I don't think a second Ghoul would be on my list even it's getting harder and harder each year to find a positionplayer for other teams.
Any ideas?
