I need help with Team Selection for a Bash-Fest!

A local ressurection tourney: 1.2M with the following skill-set from the start:

i. 4 x Normal Skills and 2 x Double Skills, or
ii. 4 x Normal Skills, 1 x Double Skill and either 1 x MV1 or 1 x AV+1.

No player may receive more than 1 upgrade, you may not pick the same skill upgrade more than twice.

I expect it to be a total bash-fest!

As such, i think i'll be taking Undead or Dwarves [Orcs if painted in time but unlikely]

Undead:

2 x Mummies [Block]
2 x Wights MB & Tackle
4 x Ghouls Block, SH & [Leader]
7 x Zombies
3 x RR
+10GPS

I was sorely tempted to put Block on the 2nd Mummy but thought that Block on one of the Ghouls would be more useful. Its that or go PO with both Mummies and Block on two of the Ghouls {and lose the Tackle or MB and [Leader])

2 x Blitzers MB
2 x TZ MB
6 X Blockers 2 x Guard
2 x RR
+20 GPS

If you perpetuate the "bash-fest" by taking Undead/Dwarfs, then it will be a "bash-fest"

Dont take Dwarfs.

If you go with Undead, I'd recommend 2xBlock Ghouls, 2xWrestle Ghouls and 2xBlock Mummies. It's dull, but very effective.
Maybe Mighty Blow on the Wights to help clear the pitch.



Or you could go against the grain and take Woodies. The Power Gamer's Choice tm
Or Skaven. With a Blitzer and the Rat-Ogre with Claw you'll scare those high AV bashers a little

I could also take (?)Elves, Skaven, CDs, or Zons (without having to start painting)

I took Gobbos last time out to Waterbowl and faced a a couple of bashy Orcs teams and Skaven. The only reason i also played Humans, Woodies and Flings was that they'd got creamed too

I'm tempted to fight fire with fire this time ...

Undead: you can only use the same skill twice so no Block on the Mummies if the Ghouls have it which is why i thought PO (or as you say, MB on the Wights)

I'm always wary of Piling On on Mummies. If they are on the floor they aren't doing their job. And at MA3 they aren't fast enough to recover from being on the floor.

I feel nakked without at least one Tackler. Also ignoring the 2nd Double on a Ghoul
