Well done to Stan, great result going unbeaten all weekend mate and handing me my arse in game five!
As always, fantastic tournament, big thanks to Alex for organising it all again, and it Nippy for the sterling work on the Legacy Humans (won by Barney).
Thanks also to six great opponents. Thoroughly entertaining games all the way though with the silly Khemri! See you all next year!

Actually it was quite a close 5-0. Well, close to being 6-0

Despite the Downes Drubbing

Congratulations to Stan and all the others. Great tournament as ever. Thanks Alex!

Re: Waterbowl Weekender 2013 - 16/17 Feb - Stockport
Thank you Alex for a great Tournament.
(Again!)
A special thanks to everyone who sat through my rambling, yelling, cheering, drinking, bloodbowling and drinking.
I thank you all for not punching me in the face.
1. Game
My Pink Pansies vs. Miserable(Neal) and his Orcs.
Could have gone both ways, but a steady defense and the orcs complete inability to destroy enough woodies for second half, secured the Woodies a win in the end.
2-1.
(This is where the first bottle of Baileys was downed)
2. Game
Pansies vs. DeadZeds(Darren) undead.
This game was lovely.
Cheating stinking Undead with 2 Piling on Mummies, who never failed to break armour.
I had 1 Rooted Treeman left on the pitch in turn 5 of the second half., the rest of the team was dead of knocked out.
Undead grinded, killed, KO'ed everything to an easy 2-1 victory over my poor soft Pansies.
(second bottle of bailey gone)
3. Game
ANOTHER DARREN WITH UNDEADS!
What are the odds?
Fast Touchdowns, me dodging away from everything.
Win to the Woodies, 3-2.
4. Game
Joe and his Chaos Dorfs.
LOL - I mistakenly thought that Dorfs in general packed a punch !
Joes sissy team could not put a dent in a spanish soft summerhat.
I did however make a defense mistake in my turn 8, first half, which Joe promptly punished, for a fast 1-1.
Second half was back and forth, me breaking Joes drive and scoring in turn 4.
Joe scored in his turn 8 to a final score of 2-2.
5. Game
Lycos the old rat, playing Lizards.
I broke the Lizards fast and scored a super fast Touchdown in his drive, making the score 1-0 for the Pansies.
Had two attempts at stealing the ball again, which failed.
My third attempt was a 2+ dodge with my strip Ball Wardancer, on a ballcarrying Skink, with no skills....
Rolled a 1, rerolled to another 1 ending up with a dead Strip Ball Wardancer.....not good.
Things went down hill from there.
Next blitz from the skinks KO'ed my last Wardancer.... and my Tree rooted.
Basically the end of the game since I failed waking up my Wardancer.
3 casualties against plus 1 i made on my own Wardancer and 4 ko'ed elves....
Lizard grind for a safe 2-1.
6. Game I played FireOllie.
And enjoyable game against soft orcs.
I outcas'ed them 2-0.
The first casualty my treeman made was on his Guard Blackorc, and that was crucial.
I broke his drive in the second half and got away with a 2-0 win.
All the games were really enjoyable and I look forward to a handful of beers at the next tournament in the UK.
THANK YOU GEORDIE TEAM FOR OFFERING ME A BED FOR THE NAF TOURNEY !
The return of Nuffle.
Thanks to all of you UK'ers. Your a warm bunch, with a great sense of hospitality.
I do believe Alex has a photo of me Hugging and kissing Sizzler... I think it was photoshopped!

Re: Waterbowl Weekender 2013 - 16/17 Feb - Stockport
Definitely thanks for organising the tournament Alex. Was great fun again this year, although my chaos team went from weakness to weakness, being outcas'd by most teams I faced... I needed some better dice this tournament for sure, especially in my last game. Was relatively happy with the team too though, despite the final results.
Special thanks to the Geordies and Mr. Nuffle for encouraging my Saturday night drinking. Only just pulled myself together in time for game 4 and got a bit of a talking to from the missus for my troubles...
the fox should always beat the geese though (when everyone is sober...

Thanks to Alex from me to, just need to sort the music for constant 'eye of the tiger' to inspire me to do better. And I think I will take a leaf out of nuffle's book and take a pen and paper next time so I can do a better post.

By the way...
For future Tournaments held - I'd like to suggest a "Tournament" Photo of everyone who participated.
(At least I would have liked one)

This is a really good idea. They get taken every now and again but not with any consistency. It'd be good to get a collection and look back on them years later.Mr. Nuffle wrote:By the way...

Any pics of the completed legacy team? Who won it? Did you get enough figs?

Legacy team looked good, despite my lax organisation!sann0638 wrote:Any pics of the completed legacy team? Who won it? Did you get enough figs?
We had 16 models (Ogre, 4 Blitzers, 2 Catchers, 2 Throwers, 6 Linos, Zug) and they were scooped by Barney the Lurker.
I have some pics on my phone, will see if they came out welll enough to post up...
Regarding the rest of the WB, it was awesome, as always. Really enjoyed all my games (although I've never moidered an Undead team quite so thoroughly as Zed's in round 5 - 4 cas and 4 KOs in the first 6 turns!!!!) Curry was top banana too. Bring on 2014.
