Hotel booking should be fine now.

We have arranged for 100 rooms at the discounted rate. This is due to it being an 150 room hotel (goodness, I hope the other 50 rooms aren't for a knitting convention). May I suggest that those wanting cheap accommodation organise tickets and hotel sooner rather than later? Still space for entry into the early bird draw too.

Venue change given growing restrictions at Warhammer World. No such restrictions on numbers, miniatures, side events etc at the new venue. And it is actually next to a really, REALLY nice, but low charge hotel that we will mostly take over.

Spoke to Beckie at hotel

Her 1st answer was that the event organiser was collecting names and arranging the room bookings, and we werent meant to do the bookings direct.

I explained that was bollox because (insert name staff name) could organise a piss up in a brewery.

So she went and checked things out, and came back with the following

After speaking to Kelly and some other lady, i was told Helen was away from her desk

Now just waiting her to call back..........

I have booked already, I think you have to speak to the events staff, which is Helen if memory serves correct.

Yes, I had to explain exactly what it was and what was happening too!

Got called back, but did get there in the end.

I suceeded to book rooms for the discount prices for us three german guys by calling via telephone and even spell every single letter of our names and adresses

Paid on the 20th but not been sent either a confirmation email or the code for booking the hotel. Should I be concerned ... (or do we no longer need the hotel code?)

Confirmations should be up to date now.

We are sorry if the hotel staff are not being that helpful. The information I'm sending out I tested myself and the person I spoke to seemed to be aware of the situation. I will continue to send out the same information but if people wish to try other numbers mentioned above should the first not work, by all means do so.

I'm in. The weekend move means that its not around my fiance's birthday, or the time I'll be looking after our daughter as she goes to New York! Two tournaments booked for the year now - managing to make them both a fair distance away too so far...
