OFFICAL SWAMP UPDATE...

Due to an unfortunate attack of real-life, Luke (Rubick) will be unable to fullfile his duties this weekend.

Verbal has kindly agreed to step into the breach.

I'm currently working on the assumption that there will be 8 teams; doesn't look like Vague will make it.

Curry update in the discussions section for those that are coming on the Saturday evening :)

Good to have you on board sir!

Couple of updates:

1) In round 2, bonus points earned in round 1 will NOT be factored in to the standings. Winners, Drawers and Losers from Round 1 will be paired of randomly. Once the team rounds kick in (round 3 onwards) the bonuses will be included as stated in the rules pack. (This is to prevent teams from the same tier all facing one another in R2)

2) I've also noticed that the Rulespack states we'll have prizes for Runners up and Most Cas/Most TD; unfortunately this isn't the case. The boards for the winning team and the team for the winning individual look pretty neat tho :) Also Mantic Games have provided a prize for best painted, so huge thanks to them. There'll also be the usual Flamebowl giveaway for everyone, just to say fanks.

3) I'm not going to do the draw in advance - not everyone has submitted their teams so we'll hold on till the morning.

4) I'm going to PM people who I don't think have my number today. Call me if you're struggling to find the venue.

That's it for now, can't wait to see everyone at the weekend :D

I had a look on Streetview and found the venue no problem. Couple of quick questions?

1. Are those big iron gates going to be open by the time we get there in the morning, or do we use some kind of door I couldn't see?
2. Is the car park behind those doors, or somewhere else nearby?
3. Is parking free or will we need to pay? If so, any ideas how much?

Cheers!

I'm going to park at Nippy's house (it's round the corner) and walk there! ;-)

Good Questions!

1) The big gates will be open, drive straight in

2) You go in through the gates and then bear round to the right to park. It's dead easy.

3) Free :)

Thanks for a great weekend chaps.

I had a blast, I'll be back next year if I can find 3 other guys to play with me, seeing as I was a last minute replacement this year...

Thanks to all the guys I played. I had another frustrating weekend of not being able to get a win. W 0, D3, L3.

A great event which as always was run very well.

Cheers

Nippy.

Thanks to Mark for again running a fabulous event, and for a great cause. The devastation on Sunday morning was something to behold.

Gratz to Swim Team for the victory and Jim for the individual prize.
