Well, if it is any consolation I think most people beleive you made the right call on damage limitation. And as others have commented if the roster was called something else with different positional names no one would have a problem with it, well bar those who wonder why we are adding another low teir team (as it takes a space that should go to the Bret team!).GalakStarscraper wrote:"this sucker is going to become official, better make sure you can live with it"

Re: The real issue with the Khorne roster...
I would like to thank Galak and dode personally for the work on the roster.
I don't think it is perfect at all, but it's probably a lot better than what I would have done considering what they had to work with.
Given the circumstances, good job. You deserve a lot of credit for it.
Balancewise it's not strong at all and it's funny/interesting enough to be well worth playing.
I think Naf is taking the best direction. Waiting for some data on one side and for GW stance on the matter.
I think it will be NAF at some point in the future. I'm the 1st italian with 24 NAF teams. I look forward to be the 1st with 25.
In the meantime I'll be playing some games with it: 27 oct at Pavia's tourney.
If some dung is fed to us in the future we can always give it the "golden rulebook" treatment.
Now with my next paycheck I shuold really go and buy some stuff from Impact.
Vocal appreciation is good, but material appreciation is better.
(Galak is my sheperd, I lack nothing.)

After discussions with many of the parties, the NAF committee have agreed on a statement placed on the NAF news page.

And... a final question, if I may ask it to any of the Khorne Roster Designers (if it can be answered):
Did you know the name of the positionals before design started?

Re: The real issue with the Khorne roster...
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing an experimental roster released every year or so, with a rules update every three years looking at the validity of existing teams in the context of the overall roster array. There are a lot of undead, elf and chaos teams knocking around these days... we could possibly afford to lose one or two, keeping things trim as new rosters are admitted. Undead, for example, sit bang in the middle of Necro and Khemri. I wouldn't be distraught to see the roster retired completely (despite the fact I'm 5-0-0 with it in our local league) in favour of a new team with a unique playstyle (sorry, Digger)

Re: The real issue with the Khorne roster...
I would be shocked if they had approved the roster at this time. Give it 6 months minimum on the cyanide game to see how it matches up, let us put the team in our local leagues to play around with it, and give GW some time to see if they are moving forward at all with the game on their end.
See where the team and the thoughts on the team stand next year, and re-evaluate.

Yup 100% nailed on an early reply. If GW want it, then we get it. = simpledode74 wrote:It's being mentioned.
The team is GW-approved, so the relationship between the NAF and GW would determine whether the NAF have to accept it
If its not official then maybe its up for indivual community debate. Lots of nonsense on fumbbl and I hope the cyanide at least find it fun. I can tell you first hand if I like them this weekend.
