ACC Friday (!)
At the moment plans are pretty wooly. I think it boils down to "meet in a pub somewhere" but we can probably refine things a bit.
First off, who will be in town on the Friday?
- Simon (Venomous_Breath)
- Christopher
- Me!
- Robin (blocknroll) probably... apparently he is having dinner with an uncle or something
- other people as yet unspecified
I think the current plan is to meet up for a quiet night of solid drinking. Local experts (Simon) have recommended The Rockstone or The Shooting Star as venues of choice but that could be negotiated. A board game alternative could also be arranged.
So.... who else is in?

For reference: both pubs are on the same road as the hobbit. If you attended the ACC a couple of years ago then you will probably remember the curry place too... they are halfway between the hobbit and the curry place.

Re: ACC Friday (!)
At the moment it looks like 6 of us Friday, once the Belgians arrive (time as yet unknown).
I'm happy to go for beer or two at the Rockstone or Shooting Star, but if there is only 6 of us, I'm happy for folks to come to mine and have a few quiet ones. Makes life easier for the Belgian guys as they are staying at mine anyways.

Re: ACC Friday (!)
For those not in the know: Simon lives just around the corner from St Marys church so its fairly central.
I'm actually in favour of a quieter evening of cheap drinks but if people would prefer a pub environment then that's what we'll do. If there are many more people then we'll probably have to default to a pub in any case.
My house is also an option for the Friday evening. It is nice and empty but its in Winchester which unfortunately makes it a bit of a bugger to get to without some car oriented logistics. However, if the logistics can be overcome it would offer a bit more space. People are also welcome to stay at mine on the Friday night with beds provided as long as you give me a little warning.

Re: ACC Friday (!)
The chaps from Belgium are going to be with me between 6pm and 7pm, and they have expressed a preference for beer.
Therefore we'll be heading to one of the Bevois Valley pubs (Rockstone, Shooting Star, Hobbit etc etc) and they are much better than the High Street ones.
It's probably best if you contact me or Sillysod that evening to find out where we are.
PM me if you need my mobile number to achieve this

Think I'm picking up Dean & Justin from St Denys train station in the morning. Its not much of a lift, but it is a lift at least. And considering they are from pompey, there's a danger someone might see me :p
