Only three weeks to go and still only single figures paid, even less with preregistered rosters getting the bonus. Come on guys?

Sorry Dave, i was still a 50/50 for this but it's a confirmed no now.

Logistics just too hard with hols early on the Monday.

Hope it fills up mate- it's one tournament that I don't hate myself for going to.

Couple more entries, couple more pre-registrations, and we have opur first clash!!! Meaning two of those early registrations won't be getting the early bird bonus. I'll not be saying who it is, and you're free to change your race if you want up until the day before...

Small update to the pre-registered teams.

Don't forget, even if you're paying on the day you can pre-register to be in with a chance of getting the early bird bonus. For those not paying attention to the rules pack, here's a handy snippet explaining all...

I think you are a victim of the tournament congestion Dave. This is a great tournament, but with 10 tournaments in the past 7 weeks, 1 or 2 were bound to suffer and they were always going to be northern ones.

The Ribble Rumble (used to be Troll Bowl) had to desist from the 4 August. Then the UK scene has had the following:

JULY:
21/22 Crumb Bowl & Toy Sodier
28/29 Gert Bowl

AUGUST:
04/05 Ribble Rumble
11/12 Thrudball & Block around the Clock
18/19 Pawnbowl & Riots Championship
25/26 Albion Cost Cup

SEPT:
01/02 Exiles & Geordie

You are on the end of a 7 week consecutive run where coaches have had the choice of 10 tournaments. Also, you're on the weekend of a southern tournament.

Toy Soldier and Ribble Rumble had to shut down, as did ALBA. There are WAY too many tournaments nowadays, but there's literally nothing you can do as NAF can't discriminate.

It's a sad state of affairs that the massive saturation of Southern Tournaments has destroyed the northern scene. This should be the counterfoil to MonkeyBowl, giving the average blood bowler a big tournament every 6 months up here, but a southern tournament every week prevents the southern players from travelling.

I don't blame the Blood Bowlers as they should go to tournaments that cost less money and less of their time, I blame the ridiculous amount of tournaments nowadays.

The north have 4 regular tournaments; Ironmanj, Waterbowl, Monkeybowl & Geordiebowl and the 3 specialist tournaments Stunty Slam, BATC & Flamebowl.

Farming infuriates me. Southern coaches get the choice of about 30 tournaments that are the same old shite, and we try to create a core of 4 really good, different tournaments and we get bummed over.

N.B There are a few decent midland tournaments (Star Bowl, Poo Bowl and the Blood Bowl come to mind)

Oh, I had second thoughts about talking about non GB stuff here when it should be about cool Geordie BB action. And deleted.

Carry on!

Fair enough, back on track...

Had a couple more pre-registrations, and we're up to eight now. Of those eight, SIX of them are getting the early bird bonus! Still only one clash of races so far!!!
