Fantastic! I had an awesome time, so a big
to all the nay-sayers! In fact, as we finished at about 11am, I reckon we should go for 12 games next year.
Thanks to Stan for organising, Dave for station runs and Pippy for an excellent venue.
Grats also to Dave - well played!

Well that was 'bat shit mental'!
Looking back with rose tinted glasses (and after sleeping for the last few hours), I can say that was great! Obviously I'm a bit biased, but the whole thing went really smoothly with pretty much every round finishing early and (almost) everyone getting started ahead of time. Too many highlights to remember, but they include going slowly through amused, the grumpy, to mental, to incapable, to ridiculously tired, and back to amused again!
I'll leave full results to Stan and/or Pippy to post up as for once I had nothing to do with the laptop! Prizes went to...
1st - Don_Vito (Norse) - 9/1/1
2nd - PeteW (Dark Elves) - 9/0/2
Most TD's - Shaheen (Skaven)
Most CAS - Winkle_Picka (Chaos Dwarves)
Stunty Cup - Phil78 (Halflings)
Wooden Spoon - Cragus_Maximus (Necromantic)
I had eleven great games and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Good stuff everyone involved!

Re: Block Around The Clock II - 11/12th Aug
I will try to explain the moment of Blood Bowl since the NAF formed in 2002 (or whenever)
Schmee vs Pippy- Pippy's conservatory, about 0100
Schmee's playing Chaos, Pippy Lizardmen.
Both line up, Schmee ready for the titancular battle of Schmee's claw Mino vs Pippy's Kroxigor. Bren sets up a classic frenzy trap for the Mino, giving 2 dice for the first block on the Krox, but a half dice on the second. Schmee doesn't see this, and steams in.
Two dice rolled. Push/Skull the result. Schmee looks at his options, but before the realisation that he is faced with a half dice, Pippy, smug as a quiche, says "It's a half dice now". Schmee, visibly angry throws his dice into his cup and says "I know you smug bastard- watch this" and shakes the cup.
The cup lands. Time slows down to a stop as Schmee slowly lifts the cup. The room falls silent. POW/POW.
Time suddenly speeds up as Schmee stands with his finger pointed an inch from Pippy's massive jaw. I will try to explain the clever and eloquent manner in which Schmee made his next set of witty commentary...
"F*CK OFF"
"F*CK OFF"
"F*CK OFF"
"F*CK OFF"
Each exaggerated with a finger point to the jaw as if to put an exclamation point on the expletives.
Redder that Lycos' nose, Schmee sits down. Everyone is cheering and laughing but Schmee seems angrier than before as he rolls the injury. 8.
"Through with Claw"
He then rolls the injury. 11.
"Apo" says Bren, his smile fading from his face. 5
"Reroll". 4
"Ludicrous" comments Brendan as he starts his turn 2.
Schmee had won the battle but went on to lose the war as Pippy used Derren Brown mind tricks to get Schmee to think they were in turn 8 when they were actually in turn 6, winning 2-1.
It was quite literally worth the effort for that defining moment. Thank you all.

That wa rough. Fun tournament and somehow I feel like a better player coming out of it than I went in... My player of the weekend goes to Claw Claw for making me realise that I am really, really slow when it comes to picking up in-jokes

I would like to thank schmee for this. I was sat next to bren and if it hadn't been for this slight outburst i'm sure.i would have fallen a sleep. As it is the shock made me alert and wide awake!

Positive CR adjustment on the Nurgle even though I lost more than I won.
Won't be playing Nurgle again, thank goodness.
