Oh yeah, the five of you ought to get off your backsides and start writing up your "Ultimate Guide to Winning at Blood Bowl" so the rest of us can start to catch up!

both human, and both with zug and griff I believe

at the end, Jervis asked if stars should be ditched for tournies and an overwhelming majority said yes

jez (who beat me) had griff and zug and the other guy had griff and luthor. So as the rules stood neither of them got to use griff

Both were humans. Marcos and Griff & Luthor, Jez Griff and Zug. Neither Griff played and Luthor out performed Zug in the final.

I think he was a bit shocked that coaches didn't want stars in the final...

It should change and the scoring system might be better too (5 for a win, 3 draw, 2 lose by a TD, 1 for loss, 0 for conceding).

Well you can read my match report which may contain some tips.

The only change I'd make to the team is to change my skill selection. The dirty player wasn't useful enough to justify coming 2nd and I could have done with a strip ball blitzer instead of 2 tackles and a guard.

Andre "princelucianus" Blank managed 16th after spending most of the tournament prowling the top tables.

Come play us, we're always happy to hand out "lessons" ;)

"Lessons" meaning "humiliation"?

Sounds good... unfortunately, I live at least two hours drive from London, seem to be constantly ridiculously busy, and also don't think I'd cope terribly well with the atmosphere at your gatherings. (No personal offense, but I'm a pretty vehement non-smoker.)

Don't suppose you do PBEM?

Well that was kinda tongue in cheek, but with a grain of truth. The best way to improve at any game is to keep playing people better than you. We manage to maintain a fairly high standard of play in our league because we push each other to improve so much. Nothing like healthy competition.

Excuses, excuses ;) It's actually only Ian and I who smoke, unless you simply can't stand to be in a pub.

Nah, much prefer face to face. Although some of our players play using the IRC client in the OLBBL. We've been known to play the odd league game that way as well.

I am a bit amazed by it, also like to point out me longfang deathwing and some others managed to stay in bugmans till they kicked us out all 3 nights ;]

Was cool to meet so many names off here and most put in good performances, thought i was out of the running after losing my second game but other results went my way and I think the fact i only suffered 2 cas the whole tournament was rather useful.

Sunday night was cool with loads of us hitting a local pub and consuming lots of alcohol. Think the staff were a bit bemused by it all and its the first time i've been in an english pub with only 3 out of 13 of us being english. It got rather rowdy at times, think the english, scotish, dutch, french, german and canadian were all present. Sorry if i missed one out, was a great night though, hopw to repeat it next year!

Thanks to longfang and deathwing for putting up with me all weekend as well.

As for that top 30 list here are some more tbbers

16 Andie Blank - Prince Lucy
38 Gary Mills - Zy-Nox
39 Geoff Porrit - Lucifer
50 John Lewis - Neoliminal

I will be scanning the results pages in later and uploading them so everyone can see the final standings asap.

Well done to all who done well and those who didn't well better luck next time!
